There is a trend going around with folks answering “what radicalized you?” by singing parts of “La Vie Boheme” from Rent.

I checked out the soundtrack to “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” from my local library at age 14.
It was enlightening and, in retrospect, life changing.

A renaissance panting of a man and woman sitting at a wooden table. The man is saying to the woman "When I say, 'Does that make sense?', it's not because I don't think you're smart. It's because I think that I am incoherent."

I feel this deep in every shred of my being.

I absolutely agree. Billions are silly. Millions (but likely not hundreds of millions) end up looking more reasonable in a country with no real social safety net and where there are very limited options for sports specialists post-career and those are inequitably distributed.

At least in the case of Athletes it makes a little more sense. Their careers are both delicate & finite, and often the decision to stop is not theirs to make. They can't think "How much do I need now" and instead have to think "how much will I need to live and pay my medical bills until I die?"

Reached out to my in-laws & suggested they carry passport and/or global entry cards with them. They are US citizens, live in Chicago, are Asian, and have an accent. I'm terrified ICE will see the face, hear the accent, & say their licenses are fake if they are in the wrong place at the wrong time.

And you know what really helps us stick together? Adhesive! And by adhesive, I mean, terrible humor?

What’s brown and sticky?
A stick!

Anyway, thank you for doing what you do. I’m a high school librarian with ADHD and you have been a huge help, professionally and personally.

A beautiful, polydactyl, orange cat sitting on a green blanket, looking inquisitively at the camera.

Kronk is lovely and says hello. That is all.
