Somewhere out there is a guy named Bill Ding and I bet he has a lot of stories.

AI is literally ruining the internet. Increasingly, I'm finding AI-generated "how to" content (especially videos) instead of helpful information. You used to be able to search for stuff and find some dude showing you exactly how to fix that part on your car or reset a device. Argghh
pResident Evil.
Evil.
Straight up evil.
I completely agree with Marjorie Taylor Greene is a sentence I never thought I would ever write.
So much of this could have been prevented if the men in the Epstein files had been prosecuted instead of protected.
Good vision is both a blessing and a curse.
Another beautiful Easter message from the President who loves Jesus with all his heart and soul.

EPSTEIN FILES NOW
The PBS Frontline interview with former Iranian secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ari Larijani is wild. Not picking sides nor speaking badly of the dead, but he was REALLY bad at answering questions with state approved responses without revealing the truth. Super bad poker face. 🙈
It’s almost like the most incompetent people are in charge. Challenge your superiors.
Impeach everyone.
Title card for the video game “Fallout New Vegas”
if anyone needs me, I’ll be playing “Second Half of 2026 Simulator”
The orange turd maker needs to pinch and wipe.
House valuation x 135% = asking price
Asking price x 125% = winning bid
Winning bid + necessary repairs > average value of surrounding homes
Housing is fine. No notes.
just this week:
-- OpenAI killed Sora
-- Disney subsequently cancelled its investment in OpenAI
-- Wikipedia is now banning LLM-generated content
...tell me again how this is all "inevitable" and you have to "get on board or get left behind"?
I was just helping my kid with their high school Gov homework, and was astonished to learn the United States has a Congress.
When the legend George Thorogood passes it'll be a sad day for blues and rock music, but I sure hope there's an autopsy conducted to confirm that he was indeed "bad to the bone."
You know what should be illegal?
CHANGE LOG
1. Fixed: bugs
Editing audio in Apple's Logic Pro is frustrating because there are very few default key commands. Switching between basic editing functions like selection, fade, and clip gain adjustment from a drop down menu is super clunky. Users can customize hot keys, but this should be set up by default.
Just because some amazing famous mix engineer says, "This is how you should do it," does NOT mean it applies to every possible audio mixing scenario. That's just how they do it in their arena. You might be doing a very different thing in a very different context. Listen to experts from your field.
"Compression should ALWAYS be set to ____" is another hard and fast studio rule that you can throw out the window—especially when working with talking heads in a live mix scenario. People talk all kinds of weird ways. Compressors respond very differently to each one. The knobs are there for YOU!
Another thing I hear a lot is "don't EQ too much, use a different mic or adjust mic placement." That's studio talk. In live sound, you probably don't have the luxury of swapping a mic or adjusting placement. Things are happening. Work with the tools you have. Turn the knobs until it sounds right.
I see a lot of studio mixers "debunking" the notion to HPF everything. That's possibly great advise for the studio where you have time and non-linear ability to control everything. However, mixing for live sound or live broadcast is VERY different. HPF is a mix saver (and probably job saver!).
Audio engineering changes for different applications. Things you do in the recording studio don't always translate to live sound, film recording, mixing for broadcast. You don't even do the same things during tracking, mixing, or mastering. Mixing music is very different from live talks & podcasts.
What about them Epstein files?
FWIW, you can't spell "Cards Against Humanity" without "tiny draughtsman."
