I wonder if it can be train to follow open science and FAIR data principles? If it is trained to repeat the mistakes we humans have been doing with the old scientific practices, it is no real advance

My favorite tool #Opencloning.org has just released a feature for assembling golden gate cloning fragments. I have not used it **yet**, but I've used the In-Fusion tool, and that ones has worked amazingly. Give it a try! I am sure @manu-lera.bsky.social will be happy to hear from your experience.

OpenCloning An Open-Source web application for DNA engineering

I got a plasmid map from another lab as *.dna file 🧪. The SnapGene program can open it. I do not want to install their "free" viewer in my linux system. The solution: OpenCloning opencloning.org . With it, I loaded the .dna file and downloaded the sequence plus a nice map. Thanks OpenCloning team 🤩

Finally 🥳. Our resource paper under Open Science and FAIR data principles 🧪. I never thought that a simple resource paper will take more than 1 1/2 years to get reviewed. But now it is finally out bmcresnotes.biomedcentral.com/articles/10....

EU medicines agency quits X, moves to Bluesky The European Medicines Agency (EMA) said on Monday it would no longer post on X and would use rival Bluesky instead, becoming the latest organisation to quit a social media platform that some have criticised for its content.

More of this, please. Welcome to Bluesky, finally crawling out of the Upside Down? No Demogorgons here, the forecast is clear, the science sharper, and the community healthier.

FeCl3 solution for NEFF Media For axenic growth of Tetrahymena thermophila in the lab, NEFF media requires a final concentration of 33 µM (see Tetrahymena Stock Center (RRID:SCR_008362)). To guarantee that...

Iron is essential for growth of Tetrahymena in axenic media (prey-free)🧪. Last time we made our stock solution was three years ago. How do we prepare it and store it? The details are now published in @protocolsio.bsky.social under www.protocols.io/view/fecl3-s... and just in time for a new lot 🥼🫡

Yap. You got it. Just make it in a way that his clothes change while going through the pipe. Piping requires some change or process to take place 😉.

One after another. Like an assembly line. The product of one station will be passed to the next one. Imagine each working station is a function or command of the computer. The term for "at the same time" is parallel processing or parallel programming.

You just need to consider: typing is annoying, so many commands are just abbreviations of the full words: cat for concatenate and pipe for creting a pipeline. I have done the transition recently, so if you want I can help you 😉

Buffer is ready. Hmm. can I sterilize it in the autoclave? When the answer is no, the next best option is to do a sterile filtration. It's not a big deal, but it's easy to do it wrong. Here is our protocol! 🧪 Sterile filtration of liquid solutions  www.protocols.io/view/sterile...

Oh no please! Then we will never get an update on the manuals. ThermoFischer has not updated a lot of the manuals for MolecularProbes or Gibco kits... let alone the Invitrogen cloning products. Terrible for #OpenScience 😟😞😕

Question to the community 🧪: in the last 4 years, I have tutored PhD students from other labs and institutions. Too many have had a lot of problems because of bad PIs, and I do mean really bad scientist and people. Some are under investigation. How can I warn future students about them?
