It finally happened! π
My county election office has a ballot box inside their physical office to drop off mail-in ballots. I always drop it off. I don't trust my mail people, because I have lost too much mail. And I still get an "I voted" sticker! This is the way. VOTE because your life depends on it.
Facts. I used to work at a library. The amount of times I re-shelved "The Joy of Sex"..... At least once a week!
This is a great write up! I did all of this last year. My lawyer said I was her youngest client. π It's comforting, not weird, knowing that I am making my wishes known & helping my loved ones. βοΈ Even without death, planning for YOU being temporarily unavailable is good (like coma or major injury).
Wait until the next calendar year. Better chance of hitting your max insurance deductible, if you have a whole year to try! Also, more people are around and more focused on work after the holidays. I took one year to do everything major I had been putting off. Saved me tons! π€
It's my weekly reminder to be kind and *do the things*. Not because someone told you to, but because it's a simple gesture of goodwill. This world needs a lot more people caring about other people (and the whole planetary ecosystem) through ACTION. Not solely "thoughts & prayers" and discourse.
Man moves trash bins to driveway
This nice gentleman moves all the garbage bins on my street (maybe even the whole neighborhood) after the garbage truck dumps them. He rides on his bicycle, stopping at each house. It is helpful because the bins are not stuck in the street & the lids get closed to prevent rain from filling them up.
5 - but I split the big screen with PnP and two different input cables so the OS thinks it is two physical screens = three displays total!
Easier to do when they can't afford food. π
I was standing right by here! Totally agree. Super peaceful vibe and TONS of cars honking! #NoKings
Woman holding No Kings protest sign that says "free balls for members of Congress who have lost theirs"
Great sign at #NoKings protest!
Big turnout in Collier County today! #NoKings
Handsome black Standard Poodle lays on his raised bed. A rainbow from a prism in the window is reflecting on his back.
Rook has been touched by a rainbow! π
That Civic ran for over 200,000 miles and went through ~5 of my family members as a daily driver! With its cracks (that my welder brother fixed every so often). Machines are just like that. They all need maintenance, and often repairs of some kind. Also, being in a moving car in itself is a Risk.
Yes, usually for silly reasons, if you dive into the data. I bought mine in 2017 & it hasn't given me any troubles, and it's been "recalled" and was fixed when needed. π€·πΌββοΈ My 2001 Honda Civic had a engineering/design flaw where the exhaust manifold would consistently crack (even after repair welding).
I should also note that with underground/in-slab plumbing my "cold" water is never cold this time of year. I run the washing machine and all the sink taps with cold water only. Hot water is for showers and the dishwasher only. So the water heater barely runs. Still, I was shocked at the lower bill!
SW Floridan. I used my dryer plug (in the garage) until I ended up needing work for other reasons and had the electricians run...another "dryer plug" for my Tesla (cable came with car). What dropped my electric bills recently, surprisingly, was switching over to an electric tankless water heater.
I just won 4-color (β οΈβ£οΈβ₯οΈβ¦οΈ) Spider Solitaire for the first time ever! π₯°π₯³π While learning about email investigations from @bhinfosecurity.bsky.social π Just had to brag. So proud of myself for sticking to it and pushing through.
Sushi chefs! I need a replica of this cutie on my plate ASAP.
I should mention, super congrats to #Bobrovsky #72! He suffered long enough in Ohio for the CBJπ§₯. Glad we both found happiness & success in Florida (as Ohio transplants). π₯°
Florida Panthers win 2-in-a-row! ππ The Florida Everblades (ECHL) just missed going 4-in-a-row Kelly Cups, but passed the Cup glory to the other southern Florida squad. Ya'll better win next year too!π Florida - home of the 3-peats! LFG!!!!!!! #GoPanthers
