They won't start with banning birth control. First they'll lie about it. Then dictate who can prescribe it, use it, fund it, in what forms, and for how long. Suddenly, your doctor won't call you back. I know this is what they'll do because it's what they're doing to transgender healthcare right now.

@phasecraftmagic.bsky.social’s February tarotscope was exactly what I needed today. I *do* know where I’m going & what needs to happen, & I do need to start proper preparations. Thank you, Chelb!
& If you’re not on their newsletter, they just announced their second Resistance Witchcraft workshop!
please remember that no matter how many “ICE is losing in MN” articles you read today, there is still a very real, urgent, ongoing crisis in Minnesota.
people need food and they need rent money. that has not changed.
I am not responsible for the version of myself that lives in other people’s minds
The nature of the witch is defined by an inability to be contained by societal standards & mores. Fluid & unbound, the witch occupies a place between civilized world & natural world, between physical world & spirit world. Yet the ability to hold that position is rooted in seeming contradiction.

I certainly do my best!! 💫
Thisss. So many of my students come to me from a place of "I have all the stuff why don't I feel the magic." Idk, have you tried to actually talk to the stuff and see how it feels about all of this?
Trying to apply dogmatic thinking like "you can't be christian and a witch" only echoes the problems of control and rule of the church you claim to hate. Your religious trauma is valid, *and* it does not give you authority over someone else's experience.
Keep your eyes on your own cauldron.
Prayer are pieces of numerous folk magic traditions from Italy to Mexico, and many of these practitioners are in fact christians practicing witchcraft.
A witch is a person who practices witchcraft. The intersections of that practice and other belief systems are *theirs* to decide, not yours..🧵
Marginalised people. It is not lost on me that most of the time, the "you can't be christian and a witch" statements come from my fellow white people—the majority of us are not only separated from our own ancestry, but have little knowledge of cultures that are not our own. Saints, psalms, and..🧵
Not to cut your hair or wear mixed fabrics or cheat on your spouse but plenty of christians do all of these things. A major element of the religion is that your sins will be forgiven.
Historically, christianity and folk magic in many cultures syncretised centuries ago, particularly traditions of..🧵
Probably wouldn't have identified as witches, because at the time, a "witch" was explicitly someone who worked magic to cause harm.
"The bible is strictly against witchcraft." Maybe, but also maybe it is only strictly against magic to cause harm the same way many Wiccans are. Plus it also says..🧵
One of the first things brought up in these discussions is almost always the witch hunts: "didn't christians kill witches?" But the thing is...no, they didn't. They killed people accused of witchcraft, the majority of whom were also christian. Those who practiced what we would now call witchcraft..🧵
I find that claims like "you can't be christian and a witch" usually come from ignorance—a lack or misunderstanding of history and cultures outside your own—and/or religious trauma: "how could something that caused me so much harm be integrated with what I have now found solace in?" 🧵
Optimal magic right now:
Protect the kidnapped children. Send luck and grace for their parents. Give their ancestors a little snack and some water.

It feels YUCKY. I frequently think about how much easier my life would be if I was morally okay with being a grifter 😅
It is self care 🙂↕️
A witch is someone who practices witchcraft—there are no other qualifiers.
And witchcraft can only be learned through its active practice.
But this means that it can be difficult to know where you’re skills are at.

I have about had it with "business coaches"
Love and Light culture is exhausting! It’s so ungrounded and I can’t stand it. I need to be around the witches that can handle shadow.

I sent out an email last night to all my outstanding email readings to be like so...it's gonna be a few days late 🫠
In a few words:
- The Holocaust was legal.
- Segregation was legal.
- Slavery was legal.
- And the crucifixion of Jesus was legal.
Historically; anybody who helped them was targeted as a "criminal" by the government in turn, whatever it was, hiding Jews, freeing slaves, or standing for equality.
It is so important to understand that you don't necessarily have to do "x" before "y."
More often than not, you can do them together, and they feed each other.
I was at the dentist three weeks ago and enjoyed the same experience. 🎶
