As we approach the first year of the reopening of Chorlton Library, there is some incredible data on the usage of the library over the last year. This is due to investment in our libraries and the work of dedicated MCC officers & library staff.

Manchester Labour is delivering longer opening hours in our libraries, including the re-introduction of Sunday opening in some of them for the first time for almost 15 years. This follows recent fantastic investment in Chorlton Library.

Really pleased to attend the launch of the housing development on the former Islamic Girls School site in Chorlton. 22 new homes, including shared ownership. First tenants moving in later this year with completion by Summer 2027.
