My brain read your first sentence as "Installing NX-OS on my main desktop" and I was quite confused. LOL!

(For those unaware, NX-OS is the Cisco OS for a bunch of their networking platforms.)

This is…an interesting read. At first I thought this was a “joke” draft released on April 1, but apparently that is not the case.

Good to know….I’ve already chopped out sections but hadn’t painted them.

It would take a *really* bad user for me to pick the LLM.

I have a ton of those on my property that I need to cut and pull down from the trees, but I know I’m allergic (or was in the past) so I’ve been holding off.

And the 3rd function diverter valve on my tractor is malfunctioning…

Life could be worse. At least I have a tractor! :-)

I just found out I have to replace the motor on my gate opener. Awesome. (Not really.) Less than 2 months after installation and it’s already busted.

A tweet from Representative Thomas Massie that reads:

I just viewed 2 Top Secret FISA docs.
1) FISA Court opinion that raises serious concerns about FBI implementation of FISA 702.
2) letter by Senator Wyden describing a secret government interpretation of FISA law.
The Constitution requires I vote No on FISA 702 reauthorization.

I sent a classified letter to House and Senate colleagues about a secret interpretation of surveillance law that every American should be concerned about.

Representative Massie is right. The Constitution requires EVERY member to vote against a clean reauthorization.

I pay every penny I owe in taxes, but I must say that this year really felt like a gut-punch on account of all the illegal shit that the federal government is doing with our hard-earned money

I'm finding some sites with RSS feeds don't render the article (or even a preview, if it isn't a full-content feed) properly in my reader. I don't know (yet) if this is an issue with the reader (Newsflash, a GNOME RSS reader) or the sites themselves.

This would be @jamesl.bsky.social and his co-authors, who recently had their @cilium.io book get published by @oreilly.bsky.social.

Day 7 of my spring #staycation was focused on yardwork and getting the misters hooked up in the greenhouse. Tomorrow we transition to spring #vacation as we head into the mountains for some alone time.

(From yesterday) Only minor projects for day 6 of my spring #staycation: pressure wash back porch, front porch, and front walkway (see the in-progress photo), clean up in the garage, spray for pests, and do some mowing.

Speaking from experience (sort of—I had a system I hadn’t updated for about 6 months), you *might* get lucky and experience only minor breakage. In my case, removing a couple of conflicting packages allowed the full system update to complete.

The Oxford comma is all that separates us from the descent into madness.

Day 5 of the spring #staycation was Easter, so no real work was done. We spent time with family, colored eggs, and had an Easter egg hunt. Good times.

“I will NOT sacrifice the Oxford comma. We've made too many compromises already; too many retreats. They assimilate the em dash and we fall back. They capture ‘not just X but y’ and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further!”

If illegal wars and deportations are all my federal taxes are going to now, I don't want to pay them anymore.

Another slower day on day 4 of the spring #staycation: finished up the gate work, finished up the caulking in the greenhouse, & covered the outdoor plants in mesh to protect against the wildlife. Later tonight it’s time to upgrade the RAM in the #Linux PC!

Day 3 of the spring #staycation was a bit slower. We caulked the panels of the greenhouse, and spent some time beefing up the gate infrastructure.
