Good fiction does not damage your mental health, whereas bad fact/reality can do unimaginable harm.
Chopping and changing Managers/Head Coaches does not work. I use Man Utd, Chelsea, and Spurs as prime examples. If Rosenior sees out his contract (which he won’t), Chelsea will be joining Spurs in League 2.
The cover of The Beatles’ song Two of Us by Neil and Liam Finn is a top top track.
I haven’t posted a sunset for a while, so here are two. The first was taken in Rhodes, the other at Portreath in Cornwall UK. #photography #sunset #rhodes #cornwall #portreath #landscape
A couple of examples of Crown Imperial Fritillary I photographed at the National Trust garden at Felbrigg Hall in Norfolk UK. #photography #fritillary #flowers #nationaltrust #felbrigghall #flowerphotography
A Lupine I photographed in a cottage garden in Norfolk UK. Instead of showing the height in portrait, I decided to go for the detail in landscape. I think it works. #photography #lupin #flower #macro #closeup #flowerphotography
In my humble opinion, your photograph is a 10/10. Photography is about the final picture, not what you took it with.
I was not going to do any more tulips this year, but then I saw this single one in amongst reds, white, and mauves, and I thought OK one more!! #photography #flowerphotography #tulip #flower #closeup #macro
As an ancient archaic person who used to write letters and take photographs with film … I only recently learned that the 3 full stops I just used is called an ellipses. I’m sure I’ve used it incorrectly, but baring in mind I thought the word was something to with space, I’m getting better. COYG 👍
We were having a lot of weather on this particular day, almost the classic ‘four seasons in one day’ (great song). Taken from my kitchen door, there was nearly a double rainbow. #photography #rainbow #nature #clouds #sunshine #fields
I’m only 6 weeks into Bluesky, I wouldn’t know how 🤷♂️ I think it’s a fall out from the glitch this morning.
I’ve had this banner repeatedly today as well 🤔
An Orchid I photographed in 2006, one of the first i took that got me interested in flower photography. I thought it looked like a flying dragon. Also, it’s not a fake Photoshop background, it is a real green kitchen wall. #photography #orchid #flowerphotography #indoorflowers
One of my favourites is that in America the Mailman delivers the Post, and in the UK the Postman delivers the Mail.
A very aptly named Spider Flower. I do like a flower that does not know which way it wants to grow. #photography #flower #spiderflower #close-up
A couple of Ranunculus. One was part of a bouquet, the other was on a market stall. #photography #macro #ranunculus #flowerphotography
Another of my flowers in Barbados collection. This, I believe, is a Cannonball Tree flower. Very unusual, almost like a sea creature. #photography #flowerphotography #barbados #naturephotography
Inspired by a local artist, I tried something new today. Each image is 2 photographic slides on top of each other, in opposing orientation, photographed on a light pad. The original photographs were taken by my late Dad, who is the man with the sythe. #photography #art #rural #industrial #flowers
Real Meerkats, not like the ones on television adverts, photographed at Colchester Zoo in the UK a few years ago … ‘Simples’ !! #meerkats #wildlifephotography #colchester-zoo #photography
Going through my archives I found this one from 21 years ago. I believe it’s a Lesser Burdock. Way back in 2005 I thought it looked interesting. #photography #naturephotography #lesserburdock #countryside
Hello David. Thank you for your comments, photo, and a new phrase for me … ‘ocular proof’. I’m keeping an eye on a few budding peonies locally.
I’ve noticed that Peonies are starting to put their leaves up ready for flowering. So here is one I photographed at the National Trust garden at Lacock Abbey a couple of years ago. #photography #peony #nationaltrust #lacockabbey #flowerphotography
Here are a couple of digital ‘watercolour’ pictures I created in Photoshop from original photographs I took in the Yorkshire Dales. #photography #landscape #digitalpainting #yorkshiredales
Thank you for all the ‘Likes’ on this photo. As far as I can see it hasn’t quite got all the clarity here that it should have, but your support is very much appreciated.
I’m not sure if this photograph will appear here as it does on my computer. I put the Chrysanthemum in a vase, placed it in a light box, processed the RAW image in HDR, with a surprising result. #photography #flowerphotography #hdr #chrysanthemum
This madness has to stop. #peace #love #givepeaceachance #enough
I love the smell in every Waterstone’s bookshop.
I got a little bit abstract with this close-up of a Chinese Sacred Lily Narcissus. Sometimes an image lends itself to do something a little different. I think it works, I liked the fiery colours. #photography #flowerphotography #narcissus #close-up
Just wanted to share this Tulip from Belton House. I think it’s the most symmetrical (almost) Tulip I’ve ever photographed. #photography #flowerphotography #tulip #nationaltrust #beltonhouse
