While we continue to create and to advocate for more affordable housing, we must also focus on prevention, to reduce housing loss.
Here’s how our program works to support women and families facing eviction. Email evictionprevention@adsumforwomen.org to see whether you’re eligible for support.

Netanyahu has not allowed any food, water, or fuel into Gaza in two weeks.

Now he has resumed bombing, killing hundreds of people and breaking the ceasefire that had given Gaza a chance to live again.

Four Wings Of Movement Collaboration
- Leah Penniman

A butterfly is drawn with four segments of its wings, each labeled RESIST, BUILD, REFORM, and HEAL. Within each winglet, examples are written, and they’re described in detail along the edges of the illustration.

RESISTING oppression via direct action—think Occupy, protests, boycotts, marches, treesitting, etc.

BUILDING new worlds and systems—think co-ops, community ownership models, land trusts, social networks, food hubs, organic farms, etc.

REFORMING existing systems to shift power and resources—think holding elected office, advocacy, institutional leadership, etc.

HEALING individual and collective trauma—think art and experience-making, storytelling, medicine-making, therapy, music, etc.

Many folks want to organize right now but aren’t sure how.

There are many ways; that’s the hard part AND the beauty of it.

This model by Leah Penniman, illustrated by Christine Tyler Hill, shows how comprehensive social change requires many strategies.

We need all of us.
