He said Wrestling show and that was true. Nitro was beating RAW in the ratings consistently until mid 1998. There weren't any other wrestling shows at that time with that level of ratings.

The NWO in its peak was more popular than anything that has ever happened in AEW. Also Crow Sting. WCW's peak only lasted for 82 weeks, so less than two years but it clears anything that has happened in AEW, match quality aside. And there were plenty of great matches in WCW as well.
