It can be difficult to take time off when you work for yourself. As an author, editor and writing mentor who works from home, the computer is always there, along with all the words and stories yet to be written. So I do sometimes struggle to down tools and disconnect…
Warning: there is no harmony or stargazing in these books! They’re pure adventure. Heart-pounding adrenalin. Friendship forged in desperation. Out of this world immersion. Plus, for those still at school, tick off two books on the #premiersreadingchallenge!
Adam, it’s always a delight to see your smiling face, it lights up the room - no exceptions!
I had a wonderful time at the Manly Writers Festival yesterday, and there’s more fun to be had at the festival today, so come on down!

*you can vote if you’ve been to a convention in Australia, are in an Oz spec-fic discussion group (online or live), or if you’re simply a fan of Aussie spec fic. So if you’re reading this, you can probably vote. Feel free to nominate me as a ‘referee’ (you’ll see what this means on the form).
Can you do me a quick favour? Ditmar Award nominations are open and ‘When Dark Waters Burn’ is an eligible work for ‘Best Novel’, but needs votes* via this form: form.jotform.com/260567334914...
Voting closes: 30 March!
