Justin Carbonneau (#2025NHLDraft) has that ability to just take over games on his own. It's still a work in progress, but sequences like these make you wonder how high he'll soar.
Ridiculous skill and dynamism. #QMJHL

Rim plays are such cop-outs. The Habs are over reliant on them, and Adin Hill is snatching up every single one of them tonight.
It’s easy to blame Dach, Slaf, and Caufield on the last three goals, but why are they in a position to make costly defensive mistakes in the 1st place?
If you’re wondering how my caffeine-fueled morning is doing:
I accidentally said “Lick Nardis” while trying to record an episode of the podcast and we had to take three minutes to compose ourselves before restarting. #Blackhawks
My latest Rinkside Roundup @eliteprospects.bsky.social:

The BCHL is absolutely going through it rn
??? 😭
I’d say 12th for me, personally. He’s awesome, but there are safer picks.
I thought so at first, but no. Funnily enough, there are two Carbonneaus in Blainville, both not related either.
Yeah... Justin Carbonneau is really like that.
2nd of the game for Carbo, and it's a beauty. #2025NHLDraft
We'll be doing a mailbag episode for the pod this week! Respond with your questions, @hadikscouting.bsky.social and I will answer!
I’ve never seen more slap shots in a single game than I’ve seen tonight.
The Habs know Shea Weber’s watching.
Moncton star goaltender Jacob Steinman's commitment yesterday to Bowling Green makes history.

Gavin McKenna has a 6-point cushion atop the WHL scoring race.
He has 22 more points than the next best '26 eligible skater.
Kid's good.
At this stage, it’s clear the Habs aren’t going to have a bounce back.
If I were the GM, I’d start experimenting. Call up Simoneau, Davidson, Roy, Beck, Engström in rotation. Give them looks. See what they’ve got to give.
What do they have to lose that they aren’t already losing?
A mix of Trevor Connelly and Josh Anderson.

Active, enthusiastic people > numbers. Love you all. ❤️
Welcome to BlueSky, Meghan! It’s fun here!
His skating’s a setback for sure, but it’s not *awful*. He generates power through his strides and occasionally throws in a crossover. He’s just not going to be evasive. It’s all about how he works around that.
Tyler Thorpe doesn’t get enough love for my liking. Massive, skillful, surprisingly coordinated.
Oh, and Owen Protz is still just ragdolling guys in Brantford.
My latest for Eyes on the Prize:
Petr Mrazek standing 50 feet out from his net, challenging a Seattle Kraken forward at the top of the left circle

Yup. That’s me. You’re probably wondering how I got into this situation
It’ll be perpetually hilarious that so many of us were like “wait til Lane Hutson gets to the NHL and finally has someone who can finish the scoring chances he creates”
Completely forgetting the current state of the Montreal Canadiens
Per Jeff Marek on the other app, Beijing-born 6’6 OJHL defenceman Haoxi Wang is meeting with the Oshawa Generals to potentially join their ranks.
Boston University commit. The new CHL-NCAA agreement is already shaking the game up in massive ways. #2025NHLDraft
Good question! I think he’ll be a FA signing rather than a draft pick. He’s one of the top candidates for one out of the CHL. Dynamic in goal, smart, great reflexes. Size be damned, he’s good.
The shot, and what I saw last year/at the Hlinka. I still believe the energetic, dynamic version I saw then is there somewhere. He’s frustrating, though.
100%. He used to look absolutely lost in his own zone last year. He’s now keeping up with rotations, making the right decisions when defending the rush… much, much better.
He’s been pretty ordinary this year, but he’s still a phenomenal skater with great blue-line vision and manipulation skills. Improving D and physical game. Very raw.
