Not to mention when I was trying to be accurate with clothing I was in true hell bc. The Medieval time period spans over CENTURIES but a lot of the fashion in the specific 200ish year time span I wanted,,, was fucking UGLY. The dresses and gowns were fine but the men looked STUPID!!!
Omg same!!! When I first started I was doing so much research bc I was like 🤓 "i love history I want this to be accurate!!" And then realized. When would I have time to explain any of this. It's all so convoluted!! This is literally sucking the fun out of it all!!!!

the struggle of wanting historically accurate flavor for a medieval fantasy story is getting to something that there's either not enough specific information for what I want OR the information is TOO specific and convoluted so that I have to just say. fuck it I'm making it up!!!
Ive changed my mind!!! Once I got a few episodes in it started to really feel like One Piece in a way even s1 didn't manage. This season was SO fun and silly!!! I love One Piece!!!!!
