When heart disease runs in the family, genetic testing can catch cardiomyopathy early Genetic testing found an FLNC gene mutation and a genetic disease of the heart muscle, leading to early treatment and a strong prognosis.

Genetic testing can save lives. A CCTSI study offered no-cost genetic testing, labs, and echocardiograms for families with genetic cardiomyopathy. This research helped detect disease early in individuals with a family history of heart disease.
