#AnalogBags trend meet Pete's "Keep Busy Bag" 😍. After books I probably own the most tote bags 😅. Why not one for every occasion? Bags = space for more Book Buying, right? Happy Valentine's Day! I would love to hear what's in your "Analog Bag"!

Graphic of a red hat on a striped cream background. Above the hat in script, the date February 26, 2026. Below the hat in script, #redhatresistance and the call to action "Fill the shop with red hats!" The bookstore's logo is also featured in the bottom left corner of the image. It is a graphic of a girl reading and the shop's name in arc over her head. Shop name Pete & Freddy's Pages Aplenty with the shop location underneath of Mentone, Indiana.

I might have cried. This is SO beautiful @pagesaplenty.bsky.social. Mail that feels like hope.
#booksky 📚💙
I'm so glad you like it 🥰!
My sister @mad4booksjane.bsky.social is taking an extended sabbatical from her store for health reasons. In the meantime, she needs help with bills both for herself and the shop. If you can spare anything, it would mean the world to us. Even just resharing would be a great help.

A difficult life update that affects the shop. More updates to follow. Thank you for your continued support! www.instagram.com/reel/DE7t73_...
A stack of hardcover books titled Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix is displayed on a wooden table in a bookstore. The book features a black cover with gold lettering, a central illustration of hand floating a lava lamp surrounded by teal lava, and a "Signed Copy" sticker. Bookshelves filled with various colorful books are visible in the background, creating a cozy atmosphere.
When people ask why preodering from Indie shops matters... one, you get a chance at a signed copy (occasionally) and two, your favorite Indie Bookstore may already be sold out 😲😍?!? Of course, there are other reasons too...but Happy Release Day Grady Hendrix! #newbooks
If you, a mother, ask for recommendations for your 20 something son for non-European Scifi/Fantasy books... don't tell me he's macho & probably wouldn't read a female author. This is an educational moment for your son (sounds like you too).🤦♀️ Buy the book, smile proudly that you are supporting women.
New Books usually come out on Tuesdays, and yet I opened a box and had to lift some weights before I could take Brandon Sanderson's new book out of the box 😅. Clocking in at 1,344 pages, this is a chunky boy. Happy Release Day for Wind and Truth! #EpicFantasy #blueskybooks
This is a great list! I had heard of many, but many are new to me too 😍. Looking forward to my own escape this season with some of these. Thank you for sharing!
I have needed to be reminded recently to look around me & remember things I am grateful for. And not because it's Thanksgiving, but of course today too... my shop gives me purpose, community, & somewhere I can feel safe/seen. There are tough days ahead, but this shop is my touch of magic & hope. 💗
If you have some extra time and want to hear me talk, this is a nice intro TikTok I did a while back. Hello to all the new followers on here 🤗!

Thank you for all the recommendations! I'll see what I can get in the shop ☺️.
Does anyone else struggle with DNFing their monthly Book Club picks? I lead my shop's club and have shown up having not finished reading, but I eventually do. I pick the original books we vote on, but this one? Sheesh, I'm on the struggle bus to finish and want to finish by Tuesday!
A*****n doesn’t grab coffee at your local café, sponsor your kid’s team, or donate prizes to the school raffle. Shopping local—whether in your town or the next—keeps money in your community, strengthens local businesses, and supports neighbours.
Shop, eat, spend & enjoy local 💚
Correction... I have heard of the Terry Pratchett!
I've heard of none of these (not angry, very excited haha) and I wish the cover for The Centre was the same in the states. It immediately caught my eye 😍!
I've been on Bluesky for eight days, and I'm three followers away from 700. I haven't been 100% present here (life plot twists this week), but to say I'm amazed is putting it mildly. My only hope is more activity (from me) and more interaction (from you) so we can be amongst the books together 😍!
A cozy holiday-themed display of children's books arranged in a tiered fashion on a shelf. The books are illuminated by warm string lights and topped with a glowing star decoration. The bottom of the display is adorned with shiny red tinsel, creating a festive atmosphere.
Small touches of Christmas have already started arriving in the shop 🥰. Thanks go to Steph for creating this brilliant book tree in the kids area, you're bound to feel warmer just seeing it ❤️💚! We are 8 days away from #SmallBizSat, but really all I want to know... what are your #FridayReads📚?
Queer as Folklore held in front of Bert’s Bookshelf
And finally, this week’s number one is Sacha Coward’s Queer as Folklore!
We loved having Sacha visit us last week and learning all about the history of queer people in mythology! 🦄

I managed to track down a spare key, and I was only 15 minutes late opening the shop. Chaos averted this time 😉!
Well, one way to start your Thursday is to discover you locked your shop keeps.... in the shop 🤦♀️. Time to #WindowShop 😂.
A festive graphic promoting "Book Flood News" from Pete & Freddy's Pages Aplenty. Pricing details include "$68.00* Book Flood at Home" and "$85.00 Book Flood Night," with the note "*Plus shipping if not selecting in-store pickup." A hand holding a boo in front of bookshelves. Book featured is a graphic novel I Shall Never Fall in Love by Hari Conner. Three main characters, two young women and a trans man, in regency style clothing, sitting with their backs to each other on grass. One woman holds a cup of tea looking into the distance, and the other woman and trans man lean in closer, staring into each other's eyes.
Hari Conner's graphic novel I Shall Never Fall in Love is out today! I have been so excited about this release. It will be featured in my #NewBooksTuesdays post today 😍 #graphicnovels

Here’s some sapphic fantasy book recs:
📚A Dark and Drowning Tide by Allison Saft
📚The Honey Witch by Sydney J. Shields
📚She Who Became the Sun by Shelley Parker-Chan
📚The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri
📚The Phoenix Keeper by S. A. Maclean

My sister and I also celebrate between the two of us (long before the shop started an event). Instead, we buy books to surprise each other, and we take the flood part very literally 😅. Maybe we even get competitive with who will get the other more... We have dinner and then let the flooding begin!
