In earnest, there's always time to change to actually be a supportive, open-contributing org!

They could keep these projects super open, learn from them to do a better job of open sourcing their internal work that makes sense to, not single-vendor open source mess it up, etc.

One can hope...

A prompt for the phrase “feminist music” which Spotify says “I can’t help you with that topic.”

A prompt for the phrase “feminist music” which Spotify says “I can’t help you with that topic.”

My first prompt for “feminist high energy good vibes workout style music” which was refused by Spotify with the error “we can’t work with that prompt”

My first prompt for “feminist high energy good vibes workout style music” which was refused by Spotify with the error “we can’t work with that prompt”

Spotify prompted me to try their new “prompt a playlist” tool and they BLOCK THE WORD “feminist”.

WTF Spotify!

screenshot of text from Adam Serwer in The Atlantic: "The secret fear of the morally depraved is that virtue is actually common, and that they're the ones who are alone. In Minnesota, all of the ideological cornerstones of MAGA have been proved false at once. Minnesotans, not the armed thugs of ICE and the Border Patrol, are brave. Minnesotans have shown that their community is socially cohesive - because of its diversity and not in spite of it. Minnesotans have found and loved one another in a world atomized by social media, where empty men have tried to fill their lonely soul with lies about their own inherent superiority. Minnesotans have preserved everything worthwhile about "Western civilization," while armed brutes try to tear it down by force."

And then I ran into 3 different parents struggling to shove their littler ones in strollers through these snow piles and got over myself and helped carry those, too.

Life's real funny to put it right in your face like that.

Was having the tiniest of pity parties being mega frustrated with my very cute 2yo who insisted on scootering in spite of the piles of snow still on the ground here in NYC(I have no clue where that stubbornness comes from 🙃). Ended up carrying his 40lb hiney and the scooter parts of the way.

i think this gets at something important which is that normal people are rightly pissed off that they’re having normal time stolen from them by this ravaging horde of jumped up mall cops. everybody has to work in the morning! why is it THEIR job to hold their community together in such a basic way!

I had zero expectations going in. Gloria Estefan and Kristen Wiig were surprise big delights. Gabby's Dollhouse is sweet and weird.

Democrats will stop talking about needing to move towards the center, maybe when there is nothing left of the party. Y'all been tryin' that for the last 20 years. It's been a losing game(and sucks).

Maybe try actually supporting what working folks need? Like, the massive majority of Americans?

Concerning, bc it indicates that the extent of the concentration of power in the hands of a few hyperscalers is way less widely understood than I’d assumed. Which bodes poorly for our ability to craft reality-based strategies capable of contesting this concentration & solving the real problem. 2/

Everyone seems allergic to the word, but Charlie Kirk was not an activist, he was a propagandist. Turning Point was a meme factory backed by a billionaire designed to steer kids towards Christian Nationalism. He didn’t advocate for policy; he spun narratives to change beliefs. Propaganda.
