Great how your phone gives you memories.

It's two years to the day since Rachel Reeves told me if Labour won the general election they would send the National Audit Office in to investigate the Teesworks saga.

The authority responsible hasn't published audited accounts since then, yet nothing.

I have just joined @greenparty.org.uk

A lifelong socialist, I left the Labour Party in disgust at Starmer's dismal government, and now feel that the reforged Green Party is where I should lay my hat

It is great to be on board - some might say better late than never 😊

Please give Zack Polanski 3 minutes to explain how our government is walking us into a nightmare.
And ask yourself this. Do you want *your* health data to be a weapon in the hands of Peter Thiel, an authoritarian of whom "unscrupulous" would be a generous description!
Say NO to Palantir. Vote Green!

Jewish communities are living in fear amid rising antisemitism, including these appalling arson attacks. We must confront this.

At the same time, antisemitism is being weaponised to shut down criticism of the Israeli government.

Both are true. Both deeply concerning. Both Antisemitic.

New report highlights Bristol City Council’s progress and ambition

Green-led @bristolcouncil.bsky.social received a glowing peer review from @local.gov.uk this month. It specifically noted how moving to a committee system has strengthened democratic engagement and transparency.

But the Labour govt wants to stop all of that…

"Ultimately, if the threatened jobs massacre actually happens, the Labour tradition will need to look once again at a policy it’s been avoiding for decades: embracing the severance of work from wages and providing a universal basic income, alongside universal basic services…"

Let's do both anyway.
