I highly recommend Dread Delusion or Lucid Blocks if you haven't played them, both very different games but very dream like

Ah I used the wrong word, I meant allure ๐ญ
Liminal or dream like spaces in media have always alluded me, the more abstract or senseless the better
I wonder what that says about me, and why I love to walk on that fine line of "this is uncomfortable" or "oh this is actually nice"
I'm talking about tiktok marketplace items specifically, not items produced from China, I should've been more specific
That's awesome if true, I would see ads on online marketplaces talking about enamel repairing toothpaste a month or two ago, but I never looked into it, most likely a scam if its coming from there lol
I feel like we're far enough into the future to where we should be able to regenerate teeth to some degree...
Seriously, this game was such a treat to play, I find it both terrifying and comforting to play
I haven't had such a feeling of wonder since tunic
Saw people doing this, honestly a lot of these categories can change at any time for me
This 3rd person camera controller stuff doesn't play around, my brain isn't used to thinking in this perspective ๐
C++ is great as long as you give yourself guardrails, the language is as confusing as you make it
Odin or Zig I wanna pick up, I've never made anything with C either
I'm still figuring out how to make the game's "flow" feel right because this is one of those games that have a lot of mechanics that you micro manage
Thanks for the suggestion I should probably skip a couple steps in some cases and do what you mentioned
I'm learning a different approach to game dev compared to my previous project that I burned out on and put on hold
It's an iterative approach where you make the game without worrying about quality and then you iterate over it's parts polishing it each time, I'm on the first iteration still
I wish I could share what I've worked on but I really want it to be a little presentable, it's got a strange concept and the gameplay is a little unconventional
Showing only placeholder visuals makes it hard for the viewer to really see what's conceptually going on
Thanks for sharing this I could rant about this use case of devils advocate all day
It has it's uses but sometimes it's used in places where there is no room for debate because the situation of the topic is just that bad (Like AI replacing human creativity and solving problems that don't exist etc)
Infodumped to a friend how Meshuggah's tones eventually led to influencing the doom reboot series osts which then further amplified the djent genre's popularity
I would like to believe fear factory also helped the early stages of djent as well, I love their melodies
Someone made a mod to fix the game and restore cut content, created by MrFO1 on YouTube
Shaders share instances, so one change affects all of us, you don't have to do anything ๐
Here are Dave and David's full unedited comments for those interested:
A 3D render of my avatar, shirt reads: "Machine Girl"
I'm loving my new avatar. So much in fact, I made a marketable plushie of her!
Maybe one day...

Childrens homework Bugs make me feel: fine When I see a bug, I say: nothing
Long day debugging
What a slap in the face DLSS 5 is to the artists who came together to make these high quality visuals, who's work has been glossed and smeared by one of the biggest scams in history
Pondering the orb...

Released the promised "press release" update.
store.steampowered.com/news/app/340...
These look great I can't wait to pick up the game eventually, either demo or full release
Item rooms like this need to be normalized, I wish the metroid prime games had slightly more special item rooms, it felt kinda random which powerup got the item room treatment
Maybe the dark soul was the jolly cooperations we had along the way ๐ฅน
I need to get my hands on older Bryce3D versions I love the style it outputs
You ever think about creating a character that does something creative like art or writing, do they theoretically also create their own characters with creative outlets like a never ending recursion...
Does cruelty squad count? It's world is pretty unique but the graphics, controls, music, and UI are unconventional which gives it that charm. The unconventionality of those aspects supports it's worldbuilding even further
Collabing with others for a game jam sounds very nice, I gotta get over that imposter syndrome hurtle
I also dont know where to start, doesn't even have to be a game jam, it sounds nice not having to be in charge of creating every aspect in a game project
