Horrific, human cruelty, evil, love, hope, inspiration, inner strength and survival are my take away descriptives of this book. The hardest book I've ever read, yet one of the most important book I've ever read. #Writing and Books.
It was an excellent read !
Very classy, beautiful photo compared to the porn pics that often pop up on this site 👍
He's very good at character development; a character may come across as one dimensional, but will then evolve, become multidimensional. As the reader, his storytelling may come as being straight forward, yet he delivers surprising plot twists. His characters symbolize strength, courage & tragedy.
You are in for an excellent read with The Underground Railroad. CW is one of the best contemporary writers. Then read his work, The Nickel Boys....Fantastic, yet devastating.
"Hey ! Punxsutawney Phil....Woof !!"
"You Don't Know How It Feels", by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.
Just read the synopsis. Sounds interesting. Enjoy and give a Bsky review when you finish it !
"I'm on top of the world !"
Day after day, since he's been in office, the Right ( especially in Congress) in this country stays silent. I will search for this article to give it a read, but; if January 6th didn't wake the Right up in this country, I doubt foreign policy will have any effect on them.
Interesting self perspective on emotional spiraling. If you're familiar with the HPA axis, it is highly activated during emotional intensity and reeks physical havoc on the body. If you can learn from spiraling episodes you will be better for it, both mentally and physically. Good essay 👍
I do the same thing when typing on my phone. No problem !
Thank you 🙏
Those are very beautiful. Where did you get those if I may ask ? And, sorry you lost another fur baby. It never gets easy 🌈
Thank you for the share. Good perspectives provided by this youtuber. Many variables involved here. The fiction/non-fiction books coming out in recent years have been very good, so not an excuse not to read. College students have a lot on their intellectual plates; reading a book can be tough.
Yes, but not so much with books, but articles I find on BS, as well as my current Vanity Fair subscription. A book has to be phenomenal in order for me to not commit "literary adultery" 😅
100% agree !
Yeah, misunderstandings and misrepresentations of research is not good when it comes to this type of subject matter. And, some people can be their own worst enemy when it comes to trauma, but trauma from external forces can be hard to overcome for some people. Thanks fir the feedback.
It sounds interesting. What was disappointing about it ?
And, they're very chill as well. Worth stopping by Oatman to see them.
Maybe a different, more updated light fixture, as well as those curtains. Keep the dinning table and chairs.
Anything by V.E. Schawb or Alexis Henderson (House of Hunger is really good) 👌
I just read the synopsis. Sounds interesting. Give BS a review when you done.
That's awesome ! Thanks for the post 😊
Sounds interesting. What is the author's expertise (if any) in the area of serial killers ?
Great. I will put it on my reading list ! I enjoy a good medical read if the subject matter is interesting, in addition to a writing style that complements the medical subject. Two of my favorite medical/science books are; "The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat", and "Zoobiquity".
I read the synopsis and it sounds interesting.
I'm currently reading "The Measure" and enjoying it.
The good news is ; both personal and foreign alliances can reconcile and reunite and move on.
