10 years ago there was national outrage over a bathroom bill proposal MUCH less horrifying than the one passed into law today to the degree that the NBA Finals MOVED in response to it.

Now we get fresh new assaults each and every day and it barely even registers. It's just...so much to see happen.

I need to stress I am not a doomer. Trans folks are not going anywhere. We have always been here, we will always be here. No amount of bigotry and hate will change that.

But it is deeply, soul-wrenchingly exhausting to spend my entire transition watching cis folks--as a broad group--care LESS.
