Elite higher ed has many problems, but the key factor driving down trust is political. Look at the graph - backlash against costs, admissions, etc. can't explain the changes we see. We should still reform our institutions and refocus on our core mission, but blindly blaming ourselves is abuser logic

As someone who studies politicization of democratic militaries this statement on X is a five- alarm fire. It creates an undeniable permission structure for overt partisan behavior by mil. It's part of a concerted effort by civilian leaders to turn the U.S. military into a partisan aligned force.
”Working class” means whatever you want. There‘s no research and no need for consistency. Use it however: People without college degrees, jobs that *require* college degrees, veterans of any rank, prominent wealthy surgeons, any candidate you like, any voter you dislike.
