I think they'll be able to make bigger changes for next year. Still time...

Well, Porsche didn't enter, Audi did! Tbh, just because there's one car with an MGU-H doesn't mean that it's something that will be more widely road relevant. There are loads of hybrid that use a K, but only one that uses an H. That tells it's own story, imho.

The PU in general is road relevant with the hybrid systems and developments in the ICE. It's just the MGU-H wasn't.

I get why they removed it. No road relevance and Audi would never have entered if it had remained.

For me, the 50:50 ICE:Battery split is where they’ve gone wrong. 25-35% electrical energy should be the max.

Formula 1 makes series of rule changes to address new engine regulation concerns Formula 1 makes a series of rule changes to address concerns about the new engine regulations that were introduced for this season.

Some expected changes, some that are new. They sound generally sensible, but these PUs are so complex that we'll have to see how they play out in practice... #F1 www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formul...

You’ve already proved yourself to be a moron. No need to keep underscoring the point. 👍🏻

2 days ago 0 0 0 0

It was pretty obvious from the first post. Only a moron would need it explained to them. 👍🏻

Because it provides a clear competitive advantage that no other team can enjoy. I’d have thought that was pretty obvious.

Because they’re the only teams owned by a single entity which can freely mover personnel between two teams. Personnel movement in F1 is usually subject to lengthy gardening leave requirements.

Red Bull takes sister team's senior tech figure in reshuffle Red Bull has taken a senior figure from its sister team Racing Bulls as part of a reshuffle of its F1 technical department

Yet another reason why no single entity should be allowed to own two teams.

It's absolutely ridiculous that this is still allowed. #F1 www.the-race.com/formula-1/re...

You’re spot on about having “no idea”. Clueless is an understatement.

So, you can’t find any. What a surprise. 🤡

You were warned.

Which other rules were broken? Not your subjective judgement. Broken.

5 days ago 1 0 1 0

No. Max “won” because the race director broke the rules. Lewis smoked him off the line and never looked back in the race. The outcome was illegitimate as anyone with any sense knows.

You believe otherwise? That’s speaks volumes about you.

Any reply other than “you’re right” results in a block.

Niels Wittich: Michael Masi a “scapegoat” who “didn’t do much wrong” at Abu Dhabi 2021 Erstwhile F1 race director Niels Wittich has defended his predecessor’s officiating in the 2021 title decider

Total nonsense from Wittich.

Masi broke the rules at AD21 and directly reversed the legitimate outcome. It was not within his authority to do so.

The FIA were right to admit it. Their mistake was not correcting the result. #F1 www.motorsport.com/f1/news/abu-...

You don’t have a point. I can’t refuse to test. It’s not up to me.

As I said: embarrassing.

You can say it until you’re blue in the face. It doesn’t make you right because you can’t prove it. And your fantasy method of proving it is illegal.

Embarrassing.

Feel free to take a walk, then. Your "logical arguement" is completely illogical BECAUSE IT'S NOT ALLOWABLE WITHIN THE RULES OF THE SPORT.

You're clearly an absolute idiot.

1 week ago 0 0 0 0

By not being able to understand that your fantasy scenario is just that. It’s not allowable within the regulations.

1 week ago 0 0 0 0

Nope. You've just demonstrated a shocking lack of understanding.

1 week ago 0 0 0 0

Oh, I thought you were done. Back to embarrass yourself some more?

The way to prove you wrong was exactly as I have already done. It wasn't difficult. Re-read the thread if you want to be proved wrong again. 👍🏻

Whatever makes you feel better. 🙄

Sadly, your entire point ignores the reality that power units are assigned to teams/drivers/cars and once they’re used by those teams/drivers/cars they can’t be transferred (other than when a driver changes teams mid season and takes of the PU allocation of the new car they’re driving).

1 week ago 0 0 0 0

That’s not really relevant.

Pretty sure. There would be a problem swapping, though, because they’ve already been assigned to teams/drivers and run by those teams/drivers.

I’m sure they are the same. Merc just knows how to optimise it. McLaren will learn.

Mercedes-Red Bull F1 engine trick banned by FIA The Race can reveal that a controversial engine trick used by the Mercedes and Red Bull F1 teams on qualifying laps has been banned by the FIA

Glad that the FIA has banned this "trick".

There are clear safety concerns with teams avoiding the MGU-K ramp down in quali. #F1 www.the-race.com/formula-1/me...
