Also sad, but good, was his acknowledgment of his own prejudices. He voted Leave and within less than a week was saying what a mistake that was. In hospital, the day before he died, he said “I never thought I was racist, but I was. And I’m not now!”… care from multi ethnic backgrounds…

My brother was a radio enthusiast so I grew up listening to all sorts of stations but mostly remember Radio Caroline &Luxembourg. In later years he arranged and hosted a link up between the ISS and the primary school he worked in, for children to ask questions live.
