For those using dopamine sensors (in particular dLight1.3b) in vivo and want to boost signal sensitivity to capture tonic dopamine levels (See www.nature.com/articles/s41...), DETQ is now available for purchase here @hellobio.bsky.social

It was very nice to chat with you Hello Bio team ! And great news that scientists now have facilitated access to DETQ vials for experiments involving dopamine sensors (in particular dLight1.3b which is the one we validated in vivo in the lab)

The neurobiology of overeating and food addiction

Figure 4 shows dopamine transients when food is smelled, tasted and passed to the gut. Unlike taste-related transients, gut-related transients would remain unchanged with repeated experience. Why? We don’t really know.

Excited to share our work at Nature Comms done in
@Kellendonk lab @Columbia on how the basal ganglia is organized. We show that D1 bridging collaterals to the GPe define a new ‘Go’ pathway that promotes motor action (1/n) t.co/mVaGuzHWbv Original twitter post: x.com/LabouesseMar...

Four excellent talks at the #ECNP2022 Symposium on brain circuits for eating and metabolic disorders. A lot of fun putting this session together and co-chairing w/ Roger Adan. Thank you to ECNP for selecting us and the numerous attendees and great questions 👏

Highly recommend anyone and everyone to watch this awesome documentary on gender bias. Even if you think you already know what's up, you can still learn something new. on netflix !
