One day of hearings for a major education bill tells you everything you need to know. If Bill 101 actually met the needs of our community, the Minister wouldn’t be rushing it through. He’s only giving us 1 day because he’s afraid to hear that people don’t support his power grab.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but this pile of petitions represents hundreds of voices across school boards. This massive stack of petitions is our message to the government: you cannot ignore a $6.3 billion hole in our education system. Start investing in our schools.

Last week, I wrote to OCDSB supervisor Bob Plamondon asking him the many questions parents have after he announced cuts to special program classes. This decision defies logic and parents deserve answers.

OASIS Ambleside hosted a Senior Health Fair recently & it was inspiring to see the way that this community has come together to provide seniors with health care, information, & resources when Ontarians are in desperate need. Thank you to the many volunteers who made this health fair a success.
Congratulations to the Retired Women Teachers of Ontario on 70 years! Since 1956, your dedication to advocating for women teachers and improving the well-being of retired women education professionals has made a lasting impact. Proud to be able to celebrate this milestone with you in Ottawa.
If you’re going to name a bill "Putting Student Achievement First," you should probably mention students more than five times. Instead, "liability" shows up 43 times. It’s pretty clear where the priority lies, and it isn’t in the classroom.

There are kids like Arizona falling through the cracks every day because of this government's funding cuts. But this minister is more focused on accumulating power over school boards than actually providing the support. This is shameful.

Tonight, my bill to protect seniors from price gouging by retirement residence companies will be debated. The bill, if passed, would put an end to predatory service fee increases. Hundreds of Ontarians have signed a petition calling on the Ford govt to support it; I hope they will listen.

The Minister's handpicked supervisors are making nearly $400,000, but cutting educators and teachers to save money. I asked the Premier why he is more focused on firing teachers than properly funding our schools.

Tomorrow, my bill, the Protecting Seniors' Rights in Care Homes Act, will be debated. Currently, seniors across the province are facing unimaginable stress from rent and care fee hikes, as high as $30,000. This bill aims to regulate these costs so that no senior is forced out of their home.

Children are already struggling in oversized classrooms and this government's solution is to cut more funding resulting in even fewer teachers and education workers next year. It's clear the Ford government does not have our kids' best interests in mind.

Algonquin's AAADD program allows many more students with access to continued education. While it's great news that this program will be saved for the near future, I will continue to fight for this gov't to provide sustainable funding to secure its long-term future.

Wishing the Orthodox community in Ottawa West—Nepean a blessed Easter. May this sacred day be filled with reflection, hope, and the triumph of light over darkness.
The survivors of RLA deserve justice, and I'm glad to hear that the police are investigating. I will continue calling on this government for more accountability and oversight over private schools to prevent this from ever happening again in Ontario.

You can’t claim to be "tough on crime" while presiding over a system where more than half of all charges are dropped. Courtrooms are triple-booked and under-resourced and Bill 75 addresses none of this. This govt is failing victims, failing on public safety, and letting the justice system crumble.
The double standard is unacceptable: the government is cutting funds for students and educators while giving their hand-picked supervisors a blank cheque. (2/2)

The Minister's supervisors were supposedly appointed to bring financial restraint and ensure every dollar was going into classrooms. Instead, they are billing the province at a rate that could reach nearly $400,000 per year (1/2)

The government is sitting on $462 million in unspent education funds while teachers go without paper and pencils. They appointed insiders making $350k a year who watch in silence as teachers are fired and programs are slashed. This isn't a mistake. The cuts are the point, and it is unacceptable.
If you are 16 and older and struggling with substance use and need help, no appointment is needed. They will help you identify the right treatment and care plan for you, without judgement and at your own pace (2/2).
Congratulations to the Pinecrest Queensway Community Health Centre and your partners on the opening of the West Ottawa HART Hub. This new hub will provide mental addictions treatment with wraparound supports, including mental health and primary care (1/2)
It's time to stop the "secret" takeovers and start prioritizing local accountability and proper funding. Our kids deserve better than a "closed-door, closed-classroom" education policy. (2/2)
The latest cuts to our schools—slashing over 600 teaching positions in the Toronto District School Board—aren’t just numbers on a balance sheet. When we take teachers out of the classroom, we aren’t just "tightening belts", we’re compromising the future of our most vulnerable students (1/2)
Unemployment is climbing, grocery prices are through the roof, and food bank lines are stretching around the block. Yet, the new budget managed to skip over two key things making life unaffordable: rent and groceries. Who is this budget for & why is this govt missing the mark on issues that matter?
With high youth unemployment rates and skyrocketing rents, the future of students has never been more precarious. And now, this government decided to slash OSAP and hike up tuition. That's why I'm proud to table this petition from my constituents to Save OSAP and Fund Education Now!

Always a pleasure to meet with industry experts and folks from the riding! Had a great talk with Andrew Wittig and the ACEC about building more sustainable public infrastructure and improving project delivery across Ontario.
