This is exactly the correct tack. Trump’s ego cannot survive this narrative which is real. He wants the credit.

What’s frightening is that they feel the only power they have left is to resign, which of course is probably what Republicans want, so that more amenable people can be installed, regardless of the chaos.

Like almost everything the tool of democracy is only as ‘good’ as the people wielding it. It’s terrifying, actually.

The UK government needs to put in place effective ways to combat this, as does Europe. And the Republicans need to be held accountable. They need to stand up to stop it. They are no longer a democracy.

Just talked to a friend who works in HR for a UK branch of an American company. They have just stripped all DEI from their policies and literature. No pushback. That’s how quickly spaces become unsafe. How easily our rights are eroded. Gone.
