VJ Edgecombe so far is everything you’d hoped he’d be and more. He lets you dream against experience.

Just looking for the Sixers to put up a fight.
Phillies ARE allowed to score in more than one inning per game.
Arlington’s Azzi Fudd is the #1 pick of the WNBA draft. She was so great with all the kids who came out to meet her last summer. Really happy for her.
Budapest is one of the most magnificent places I’ve ever been. Hoping that it will finally enjoy freedom again.
Wishing all the best to Joel Embiid, who once again suffered a freak ailment right before the playoffs.
If you ever believed that America could or should be different type of superpower, today has been a gut punch.
A week late, but they finally removed to switch the Phillies offense back to “on”.
I had skipped most of the hospital Sixers games the past two weeks. But I had to see what Embiid and PG looked like in their returns. It was genuinely beautiful basketball. I would love to see this team at full strength for the playoffs.
I really appreciate all of the non-Jewish progressives willing to stand up to left-wing antisemitism.
We sold HIGH
We were assured they sold high.
Floating in the wreckage of a once promising Sixers season, I’m allowing myself to dream of Aaron Nola bouncing back to form.
There is still time to pull together a Jack Hughes Purim costume.

Dumping Thybulle for McDaniels instead of finding a reliable bench two-way wing for a playoff run during Embiids MVP season.
He’s going to try to make a deal at the draft - either bundle picks to try to trade George for a third star more on the timeline or another Melton style trade.
The US immigrant population generated more in taxes than they received in benefits from all levels of government every year from 1994 to 2023.
The Cato study provides the first-ever 30-year analysis of the fiscal effects of immigration on government budgets.

That’s where the Knicks are right now. Certainly good enough not to duck the tax.
I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

If you can’t explain to voters that funding a lawless paramilitary trampling on the Constitution doesn’t make them safer, find a new line of work.
Torching the global order built on the sacrifices of generations of Americans is neither patriotic or “conservative.” GOP senators who are standing by and letting it happen are rightfully called arsonists, nihilists and cowards.
Article title: Agenda Seeding: How 1960s Black Protests Moved Elites, Public Opinion and Voting Article Abstract How do stigmatized minorities advance agendas when confronted with hostile majorities? Elite theories of influence posit marginal groups exert little power. I propose the concept of agenda seeding to describe how activists use methods like disruption to capture the attention of media and overcome political asymmetries. Further, I hypothesize protest tactics influence how news organizations frame demands. Evaluating black-led protests between 1960 and 1972, I find nonviolent activism, particularly when met with state or vigilante repression, drove media coverage, framing, congressional speech, and public opinion on civil rights. Counties proximate to nonviolent protests saw presidential Democratic vote share increase 1.6–2.5%. Protester-initiated violence, by contrast, helped move news agendas, frames, elite discourse, and public concern toward “social control.” In 1968, using rainfall as an instrument, I find violent protests likely caused a 1.5–7.9% shift among whites toward Republicans and tipped the election. Elites may dominate political communication but hold no monopoly.
I’ve been studying civil rights protests for 20 years. With new mobilization against Trump’s agenda, I’m sharing a thread summarizing my research on how nonviolent & violent actions by 1960s activists and police influenced media, elites, public opinion & voters. 1/ www.cambridge.org/core/journal...
Birds following a very bad script again.
Sending love to the people of Minneapolis.
The research indicates that players don’t return to form from a meniscus repair until the second year. He could look a lot better in a few months.
What made America an exceptional superpower was not its failure to live up to its ideals but just how often it succeeded.
We should bring back Time Life music compilation infomercials. Or any infomercials featuring 70s Stevie Wonder music.
Eagles are apparently better with their starters. Bring on the Niners.
