I’ve played a few Story of Seasons games, last one I played was in 2022 I think?? I saw they did a remake of A Wonderful Life which I used to play with my best friend after school, so I’m sure I’ll play that at some point for a nostalgic kick

I’ve never been able to get into Animal Crossing either, but I grew up playing Harvest Moon and obvs there’s some similarities there! I was immediately sold on the idea of “Harvest Moon but with Pokemon” but I’m so happy that it’s so much more than that!

Pokopia also gets that cozy stories can’t all just be cuteness and pretty things. The backstory/lore genuinely adds that bit of melancholy which only enhances how joyful the rest of the game is.

It’s the first Pokemon game to crack my favorite games list since Black and White 🫶🏽

I remember feeling it was a weird choice for Pokopia to be released during Pokémon’s 30th anniversary while Winds and Waves isn’t until 2027. But I take it back, this is a perfect celebration of the franchise’s history while also bringing much needed new ideas to the table

I adore Pokopia and it’s not just that it’s cute, cozy and fun. It’s also the most original, innovative and polished Pokemon game released in years, something which actually moves the franchise forward AND provides a ton of feelgood fuzzies at the same time.

Also despite the post apo setting it’s still the cutest most joyful thing ever made

Harvest Moon/Animal Crossing meets Pokemon in a post apocalyptic version of Kanto where humans have all disappeared. You play as a Ditto who takes on the form of their old trainer to rebuild towns and bring in new Pokemon residents who in turn help with different skills etc.

I don’t have the resources to build entire aesthetically themed towns and farms yet but when I do it’s all over for my productivity in any other category of life

I fear Pokopia may be perfectly engineered to be the most addictive game ever for me specifically
