Today is hard. Burst into tears over a safari advert. I miss him so much, and today should be about being with family, but I just want to crawl into a hole.

Day 3 and already seeing an improvement. Unexpected. I enjoyed walking in the morning. Once sunrise is at 5, I might shift back to morning walks.

Today was an exception because Jack dropped off the tiny human, and I am fetched him. I was not as tired as expected, but now I am ready to crash.

Day 2. Today was meeting day, so I sat a lot, and I could feel it. Also, I need to curate a playlist. Spotify chose to play my slowest songs when I needed to move faster.

I have done it at least 100 times but injury and ill health have made me pause for longer than I would like. It's great to be able to walk longer distances again with minimal pain.

I need to get back to doing parkrun. This is a start

Went to pick up some South African goodies, including a braai pack with Namibian ribeye and boerewors made with Namibian beef, today.

Was also craving mushroom skewers. I marinated them Flippen Lekka seasoning, and they did not disappoint.

Served with miellies, braaipap, and a homemade smoor.

Smooth operation today. Some changes in the volunteer team needed to happen at the last minute this morning, and there were people willing to step in to help us have a wonderful morning. Thank you! Thank you for joining this morning. We love being with our community Saturday morning.

My challah this week was made as a small memorial for the Bibas family. 3 separate challot that grew together and baked into one. My heart is broken for those boys and for their family. May their souls find peace, and may their memory be a blessing for all who knew them.

As expected, Stick'n'Sushi is more hype than substance. Sushi was nice but not the-prices-the-charge nice. €5.50 for a pot of Jasmine tea! €5 for a caraf of filtered water. Lunch menu is decently priced, but ala carte 😵‍💫, and service was very good, but I can now cross it off my list and move on.
