Isn't the US military's entire thing supposed to be logistics?
Like a big chunk of the commercially available food on the market that exists exists in part because the lines can be easily turned into making food for war

Hands down—I have a whole book or two in my head about the militarization of food that I was told I should save for my ‘retirement project’ —but more than that I grew up as a military kid seeing MREs —single serving Tabasco is still my favorite. But just search “tang” if you want a ‘taste’ of such 😁
Deadline Approaching: The Society of Woman Geographers will award the Evelyn L. Pruitt Fellowships for Dissertation Research to 10 fellows, with awards of up to $12,000, to Ph.D. students in Geography and allied fields to be used for their fieldwork. The deadline is April 30:
A rectangular educational graphic titled “Tracking the Geography of Diseases: How Epidemiologists Map Infection.” On the right side, there is a white text block with black text explaining that epidemiology uses geography to understand how diseases spread, focusing on where communicable diseases move. Below the text are two small logos: one for Geography In The News showing a stylized green and blue globe, and one for the American Association of Geographers featuring a circular blue emblem. On the left side of the graphic are three images: • A watercolor-style world map with soft blends of red, blue, green, and yellow. • A map of East Africa and the Arabian Peninsula showing disease spread routes with red arrows moving between Uganda, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, and nearby areas. • A close-up illustration of virus particles in bright colors such as red, blue, and green. The background features splashes of red and orange watercolor textures.
