My version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles thing is phrases that fit the cadence of “Alexander Hamilton” from the opening number of Hamilton, anyway “Grogu’s Garlic Chicken Fries”

First you complain that the UK is hostile to trans women, then you complain they’re banning tobacco. Make up your minds!

I get it, Hitler jokes, but realistically this is designed to sell more Invisible Man shirts at Epic Universe

Has anyone pointed out yet that this is probably because Universal is trying to actually use their monster characters again? Like they just gave them an entire theme park land.

Halfway-ish into Thunderbolts now. It’s appropriate to the last few incarnations of the comic that this is basically better-but-not-good Suicide Squad.

After mostly watching normal movies for the last year we’re catching up on the Marvel stuff we don’t bother with and oh my god I forgot how bad the sound is in these things

The booking is still unbelievably terrible though. The show is built around two matches, a very weird royal rumble to award the held-up tag titles and a way-too-soon main event where heavyweight champ Ron “The Truth” Killings defends against X division champ Jerry Lynn.

TNA PPV 13 is a wild one. They’re in full “paycheck just hit” mode and loaded up on fired WWF stars. At one point you’ve got CM Punk in the ring with Marcus Bagwell and Sean Waltman. Madness.

Partner has been tearing her way through the books they based Heated Rivalry on and we’re both losing it over the two main boys from the show starting a charity hockey camp that’s slowly morphing into Wakanda for closeted gay hockey players

A tweet from Matt Von Swol: The most radicalizing content on the internet is old footage of Americans shopping in stores
25 years ago.
It's calm, quiet, civil, no fighting, no screaming, no phones, it's not overly crowded.
You can't quite describe it, but you miss it so deeply.

Thank god everything with the right is either racism or transphobia because I don’t know how else otherwise I’m supposed to figure out what the fuck these people are talking about most of the time

Just saw somebody on Twitter saying another HoF needs to induct Sid Eudy so he can get a “proper” induction and I’m not trying to be mean but I thought the consensus on Sid was he wasn’t a very good worker and probably wouldn’t get honored like that by anybody but a company that had pushed him hard

The stuff in Stephanie McMahon’s HOF induction about there being a rift between Shane and the rest of the family is a work, he’s gonna be back possibly as soon as this weekend as the on-screen corporate badguy for the “WWE vs. TKO” angle they’re going to try. Probably how they bring Vince back.

This was a prelude to the gay wedding, which got a little bit of mainstream early in the week.
Basically it got a mention on Howard Stern, who blew it off saying that their audience didn't want to see stuff like that. ESPN's Pardon the Interruption saw Tony Kornheiser say it was a desperation ratings grab and Michael Wilbon said he thought the WWE was done. Billy, Chuck & Rico did a ton of radio during the week, and were scheduled for appearances on both Stern and
"The Today Show" on NBC the day of Smackdown. USA Today had a mention, which included the comical quote from Jayson Bernstein of WWE saying, "They (Billy & Chuck) get booed because they're bad guys, not because of their sexual orientation." In all publicity before the event, WWE made it clear that the two were actually not gay in real life. The idea of doing this as a publicity stunt appears to have come off that strange New York Times article on their characters from a few weeks ago.

It doesn’t seem great that Wrestlemania prices are so high that despite ticket sales being down almost twenty percent from last year it’s on track to possibly break their gate record again

Skin dancers, cannibals, kinslayers, monsters. The Vargers are many things, but family always comes first.
