I did however get my mechanical keyboard today (my reward for hitting 7,500 words, and also because my 30+ spine can't hack writing like a pretzel with my laptop anymore) and picked up some other neat things I didn't need but absolutely had to have. She's named Wilhelmina btw, and she's fabulous.
My day job is really sapping the existence out of me, so I've resorted to jumping in and out of random chapters and writing whatever sticks. This first draft is getting messy... I'm at 10% of my target words although whether I stick to that target remains to be seen.

Hit my first writing milestone today 😎 5,000 words, but that's 5,000 words more than I had this time last week. Feeling like the threads are coming together with this one though, and I much prefer my MC here than in my urban fantasy idea.

Screwed my head back on and got my plot for book one of The Tenacity (working title) nailed down + the first draft of the prologue and chapter 1. A small victory after a rocky 2025 where writing is concerned 😅
