It was freed, stranded again, freed again, stranded again. It's like the whale doesn't want to live any more. So someone got this in his memory.

Exactly! Every single one of these abominations has a story to tell. It may be silly, horrifying, poignant, hilarious, or all of the above. It would be really cool if there was some book/website/whatever to bring together the tattoos and their stories. No judgement, only stories.

I'm German, of course, but I don't think a German flag would work differently on me. I have very complicated feelings about our flag.

I can speak well in German (native speaker) and English.
I know a little bit of Spanish - I was pretty good at it in school, but that was 25 years ago, and I've gotten rusty.
Latin, Ancient Greek I have learned to read, but not to speak or think in these, sadly. Plus I was lazy in Greek class.
