Ha, well I rarely check in here.

I do plan to open-source it after some cleanup! It’s using SvelteKit 2, Svelte 5, Tailwind 4, and Zod 4.

No database… URLs only.

I feel like this has to end with “oh weird, NORAD says he’s still at your mom’s house” or similar

I accept. I smile every time someone else discovers that deranged review.

PRX makes wall mount ones (not in any way attached to the squat rack). Folds super tight to the wall. Easy fold down.

Labyrinth - How To Play
Labyrinth - How To Play YouTube video by Watch It Played

Short demo video. Super simple rules. We sometimes played a house rule where your current goal was public, which means you can more actively thwart other players.

A board game. “The aMAZEing Labyrinth”

“Magically shift the maze to reach your goal”

A board game. “The aMAZEing Labyrinth” “Magically shift the maze to reach your goal”

Exciting!

Presume you’re familiar with this classic. Competitive board shifting is one of my favorite mechanics. Childhood favorite.

I meant "how many posts are there to delete"? n > 500 then maybe look for an API-based tool. Less than that, and maybe just do some browser scripting to click the buttons for you after you do a search to load up the posts. Or even script the keyboard to do it. Doesn't have to be pretty.

I'm good! We were mildly hit, but sub $3k of damage.

That makes sense. I'm increasingly of the opinion that there is virtue signaling in almost everything we do that others perceive (including your tweet, including my response, including this one). And there is value in that! It's when it becomes blatantly performative that it grates and feels wrong.

How explicit does the telling have to be in order for it to count?

I like that! I find that there are two more factors for me: framing and time. i.e. you can Tom Sawyer yourself a bit into reframing high demands. And also, changing the core variables doesn't take effect right away... how long the mix has been lopsided matters too.

I'm also fascinated by the potential implications of combining this with gendered partner-height-preference differences. Women prefer much-taller men (doesn't affect their walking speed). Men prefer only-slightly-shorter women (so they can walk places without discomfort).

I also had that upbringing, and I agree there should be nuance.

But man, the teens (especially girls) are not doing great, and it’s glaringly obvious that social media is a huge part of the problem.

I’m fine with a slight over-correction while we figure out how to implement that nuance.

Partners
Male Partners had faster preferred speeds when walking alone (average: 1.53 ms-}) than the Female Partners (average: 1.44 ms -1; p=0.05)
(Table 4; Figure 1). When Male and Female Partners walked together, the Male Partners significantly slowed their paces in order to walk with their Female Partners (average: 1.44 ms -1; P
= 0.009). When asked to hold hands while walking with their Partner, the Male Partners slowed their paces further (average: 1.43 ms-}; p= 0.007). The walking speed of the Female Partners only slightly changed when walking with the Male Partners, with or without hand-holding (<1% change compared to Female Partner speed when walking alone). Thus in both cases, the Male Partners nearly matched the preferred speeds of the Female Partners and demonstrated a significant change in their preferred walking speed.

Have you read about how people have ideal walking speeds and M/F walking pairs compromise on that at different rates depending on romantic attachment? M/F friends: average their speeds. M/F romantic: walk at the female’s speed.

I’ve gotten 346 new followers here in the last month (mostly Laravel tech people, it seems), which has me curious!

This is the way. Hands-free, tactical, prepared. Anything that can hold chapstick, tools, and weapons at the same time gets my vote of approval.

I'm tired of this Earth, these people. I'm tired of being caught in the tangle of their lives.

But what if you add “at Whole Foods” to the grocery store one?

I do *not* want everyone to live their joy. Like, feel it… but we live in a society.
