If I read the impeachment rules correctly, you need a majority vote in the House and 2/3 of the Senate. Then it goes to a trial in the Senate. 24 isn’t going to cut it.

Well, know that I, for one, appreciate you and your country! I can’t believe we are in this place right now. Just read a statement from Tucker Carlson. Even he thinks this situation with Iran is insanity. I never thought I’d agree with ANYTHING he said!

If Carlson has that much pull with people around tRUMP, maybe he can convince them to invoke the 25th. It might be the only way to get it to fly.

You’re right. I don’t know for a fact, but given what I’ve seen, this is my educated guess. If it were my place I would try. I’m not in Congress though I have made calls to my representatives. Are you in the USA?

@debonairsocialist.bsky.social as a whole, the people of the USA don’t have the courage to do a stop work day for one day let alone removing a person from office. We also try to follow the constitution even though our current president, his cabinet and the MAGA senators and representatives do not.

We tried two other times. He was impeached, but not removed. What is a third impeachment without a removal other than a symbolic gesture? A 25th action would be ideal. And I’d love to see it happen. I don’t see it with his current boot licking Cabinet members. What do you see being different?
