Catalonia has its first global light pollution map since 2025, and #HPC has been key to develop it.
It has used over 600,000 CPU hours across three supercomputers, one of them being @csuc.cat's: Pirineus.

Their flagship supercomputer is named "Pirineus", just as the emblematic tallest mountain range in Catalonia, symbol of strenght, power and relevance.

@csuc.cat will update Pirineus during the second half of 2026 with:
🔹13 nodes with 4× NVIDIA H200 each, a total of 52 H200 GPUs
🔹3 nodes with 8× NVIDIA B200 each, a total of 24 B200 GPUs
The upgrade will increase Pirineus' performance up to 4 PFlop/s
