I think my appreciation for it really grows from playing the maps in order. Going from Die Rise’s Mahjong step just to light up a tower to this whole walking between the spirit and real world in this hellish environment and every player has to participate at some point is just such a cool evolution.

1st map that took the player and their curiosity seriously. Gave a tight story with real characters, innovative gameplay, and ton of secrets and enhancements to the mode while still maintaining the general zombies appeal. curious to see if anything else along the run ever reaches these highs again

Friends and I have been doing all the CoD Zombies Easter eggs in order recently. We hit Mob of the Dead last night and it really opened my eyes to how much of a watershed moment it was for the mode. Like this was the moment people realized Zombies could be more than just a round based horde mode
