Wow! France gifted her to us, and now they’ve captured what so many Americans are feeling on Independence Day. The values the Statue of Liberty stood for are no more.
📌 A stunning mural of the Statue of Liberty covering her face was unveiled in Roubaix, France, on July 3, 2025.
If Trump really wants to destroy Iran he should go be its president for a few months.

A quote from CARE Palestine (West Bank/Gaza) Country Director Jolien Veldwijk beneath the photo reads "Mothers are brining starving babies into our clinic. It is the children, the sick, and the elderly who are suffering the most."
‼️CARE clinic workers in #Gaza have reported babies arriving as light as 4.4 lbs. CARE continues to call for a definitive ceasefire, the unconditional release of all hostages and full #humanitarian access.

Did you catch @acoyne.bsky.social on @tvotoday.bsky.social last week?
Here, he succinctly outlines what's wrong with first-past-the-post and why proportional representation is more important than ever!

After an intense two-day committee meeting that featured 42 delegations and a heated council meeting this week, councillors voted to direct staff to develop a bylaw to protect safe access to schools, religious institutions, daycares and long-term care facilities.
That people who get their period are all different, so please don’t make assumptions or generalizations. We also need men as primary power holders in much of the world to advocate for health equity and proper research on women’s sexual & reproductive health! Ask questions, have empathy, be an ally.

Periods aren’t a choice—and access to period products shouldn’t come with a luxury price tag. Ever noticed this where you live?

A graphic with a purple and orange gradient background and speech bubbles that have different euphemisms for someone having their period. The speech bubbles say terms like "that time of the month," "surfing the crimson wave," "girl flu," "shark week," "on the rag," and "Aunt Flo's visiting." In large bold font in the middle of the speech bubbles the text says Call it what it is. Period. At the bottom of the graphic is the orange CARE logo with the call-to-action "Let's end period stigma. First-past-the-post is failing voters. It fuels division, strategic voting, and regional shutouts—while pushing Canada closer to U.S.-style hyperpolarization.

A group of people in military uniforms, likely from the mid-20th century, are gathered in a room. They’re sitting around a table with hats and papers, near a wood stove and a dartboard. Some are writing or reading, while others converse.

Walz: I do want to give a huge shout out to our Canadian neighbors, they know that this is wrong. They stood up to it
Good morning to everyone but especially Bruce Fanjoy, the new MP for Carleton!!!
One thing that I was thought was revealing about the divisions within Canada:
When Carney acknowledged Poilievre's hard work on his campaign in his victory speed, the crowd of Liberals cheered.
When Poilievre mentioned Carney in his concession speech, there was loud booing.
A quote on a dark blue background from CARE Canada's President and CEO Barbara Grantham that reads: "This is not the moment for our country to turn inward or work in isolation. Rather it is an opportunity to use these first steps as a new government to reach out and build global bridges, securing and strengthening the allyships that Canada has long been known for." The orange CARE logo appears beneath the quote.
🍁CARE Canada stands ready as an ally and partner, supporting Canada to invest in global stability and prosperity, gender equality, international solidarity and Canada’s global leadership.

Congratulations to Liberal MP-elect Bruce Fanjoy for defeating Pierre Poilievre in Carleton.
She’s Canadian, naturally, she was very apologetic.

And exhale. Phew.
I may offend some people here. If you don’t vote because you think none of the candidates are good enough to be considered, you are a self-centred asshole.
