An autism registry? I’m pretty sure there is a good reason why we should know and learn from history 🙈🙈🙈 #edpsychs

No news from the Government regarding the Adoption and Special Guardianship Fund today. Precisely what these kids needs- lack of stability and continuity. Slow clap Labour…

I wanted to join you but Teams made me want to curl up in a ball earlier. Hopefully my hubby solved it for me! Shame. Next time. Hope it was good x

My passion project is ready ⭐️ three years in the making

Please share my thesis project amongst your networks - I’m seeking primary/secondary teachers of PHSEE and curriculum leads for reflective group sessions on sexism

Important topic. I’d love to see the findings eventually. I will share and hope many do, too.

I read Wolf Hall earlier this year. I found it looooong, not sure I could ever face reading again. Currently reading Dream Count- it is brilliant-recommended.

I have always particularly liked this view!

If a young person makes you this, you put it on the mantelpiece in pride of place. Thank you! #edpsychs

He (or she?) looks suitably proud of themselves. Or they’re planning world domination. It’s hard to tell.

Had the absolute pleasure of doing my annual session with TEPS at UCL on innovative practice, lived experience, care experience etc etc. Always fills my cup and I hope the TEPs got something from it too 😀 #edpsychs #traineeeps

Happy birthday! I bought a book for mine (until she is 18), and it has things like- what you are like this year. Where we live. Who lives there. What you liked. What adventures we’d like to have next year. Photo space etc. it’s lovely.

For sure! I also think it can be a connector/a barrier (you aren’t like me etc), a regulator. I honestly think it’s a really interesting area!

I should add that the swearing was not directed at me. I am interested in language and its use. A good book is ‘Word Slut’ if it’s your thing as well!

Musing on intention (if any)of young person swearing when I met them.Quick response would be ltd. vocab/emotional lit., but I think it has lots of nuance/meaning. It doesn’t bother me but I know some really dislike swearing. I wonder what others think?(Yet to learn a word I didn’t know!). #edpsychs

Love this! All retired running shoes should have the same tribute. They’ve been so many great places haven’t they?!

That’s lovely 👏🏼 Good stuff

Would anyone be willing to share the postcard style idea please? That really appeals to me. I may be able to evaluate with young people in a MAT with whom I work, over time.

Drives me wild that there aren’t more places. We need more EPs. I hope you continue.

Although I do think mentioning it is very helpful- I do that. It’s something I should do more of too. I’ve thought about mirroring my 1 page profile somehow to send in return, from our discussions. Not sure if I am under or over thinking it all!

She’d have forgotten the moment they told her 🙈 I think, for her, she is only switched on to people she has a longer relationship with? Maybe?

Just anecdotal comment for a different view. My daughter was written to by the EP that met her and she was not bothered at all. Seemed to have no meaning at all for her (but she is just one person). I think she found it odd possibly? Maybe it was something about the formal headed paper etc.

Hi both! Yes a colleague led us through a beads for life narrative exercise at our supervision retreat. She has just collected them from all over really- charity shops and so forth. It was such a moving experience. Here is mine.

‘Literature is one of our last democratic spaces where we can slow down to have more nuanced conversations and if we cannot have these conversations within novels, where can we?’ (Elif Shafak).

Gosh that is a toughie. My thesis will be on the experiences of parents of children with SEND and also EPs. If I ever finish it. The will is there though! Complex area.
