Replayed Red Dead Redemption 2 & I don't know if I have ever hated a character more than I hate Dutch van der Linde. I mean, brilliantly written, but every time he opens his mouth I just want to kick him in the nuts.

I am almost 40 years old and have yet to find a shotgun, medkit, or even so much as a jewel-encrusted chalice hidden behind a waterfall. Iβm beginning to think video games have lied to me.
Eskom Se Push app, seeing everyone redownload it:
Wonderful interview by @zaidkriel.bsky.social over at South Africa's IGN franchise, IGN ZA. Still having a fading hope that IGN International or Gamespot will share the story eventually too - for now, I'd appreciate if y'all went and read this.

I stand by this.
Will keep you updated π
You shouldnβt be afraid about your hyperfixation fading or about the fandom dying. Those are minuscule things compared to the joy of creativity. Do your thing, enjoy the moment, play with your barbies π©·
Any book can be harmful if you throw it hard enough
Here's something fun - a 2005 Interview with CDProjekt on The Witcher 1, back when it was still presented as a NWN 1 Total Conversion Mod:

Despite all the pain discomfort I know I have to keep trying to push forward on my own. Still don't have much strength but it will come. A long, tough road ahead. Please if you can donate. #cerebralpalsy #sdrchangeslives #rehabilitation #gofundme gofund.me/212c5899
I've heard such good things!
YA fantasy - action adventure vibes :)
π trying. Hoping to finish the first draft by mid year (trying to fit writing in between work & family etc). Now I've put it out there which is very scary π
So many! I'm in the process of trying to get one of them out π
π I didnt find the doom thingy worked for me, but also I forget to plug it in, and then the stuff get finished really quickly so the zappy thing works better for me.
π but also, in all seriousness, get one of those mosquito zapper things. I bought one for me & one for my youngest son (they like us more than anyone else in the house)& it's made such a difference!
It's very hard to switch off when your hobby is also kind of your job! I hear you. I have many things I want to do which is why I also have an idea of an alternative π
Haha a test driver for Ferrari is a great one! I think my husband would love this too π
I think because I edit videos for a living, the YouTube thing doesn't appeal to me. I've considered doing more of it for myself over the years but it feels too much like my current job!
In 2025, stop worrying about what counts and doesnβt count and just read it all! Physical books, e-books, audiobooks, manga, comics, web novels, fiction, non-fiction, fan-fiction, all of it! Reading is reading and itβs all out there just waiting for you!
I have about 4 different pairs π
Apart from the fact I need them for editing, I can't work in an open plan office if I don't have headphones. People are too loud & even if I'm not using them for work I keep them on and play brown noise so it blocks the office background sounds.
Must be why we're friends now! π€£
Hes not the kind of kid that tries hard to fit in (not yet anyway) & I hope it stays like that. Very independent & strong willed!
I realise now mine was probably undiagnosed ADHD because I always felt like I was the weird kid who had odd interests π
HS definitely isn't important in the long run!
I've asked this question on other platforms in the past, but I'm also curious to know people's thoughts on this.
Even if you enjoy your job (which I do) - if you could do ANYTHING for a living - money is not an issue - what would it be?
I would write.
As a parent you want to protect your kids from the heartache of the world while realising they need to learn it all for themselves.
High school feels like a step towards him being an adult & weirdly that scares me.
Plus it makes me feel old π There is that. 2/2
My eldest son starts high school in a couple of weeks & I'm having a small mental crisisπ
I'm excited for him but I'm also remembering my ambivalence towards high school. I met my husband there but I also never really felt like I fit in (there are many things I realise in retrospect as to why) 1/2
No man...
I also saw a pair of Jordans on sale somewhere the other day - R1 off.
Taking the piss... π€£
