NEW: Rachel Maddow drops unseen bodycam footage of feds coordinating the arrest of Newark Mayor Baraka.
I REPEAT: the feds ordered his arrest even though he wasn’t breaking any laws.
Federal agent: “We are arresting the mayor right now per the Deputy Attorney General of the United States.”

When more than 75 former judges come forward to warn that a judicial nominee would be a danger to democracy, we should listen. Emil Bove has been an unethical lawyer for years and behind DOJ’s assault on the rule of law. Every senator should reject his nomination.

An inside look at “Alligator Alcatraz”. This is about hate & cruelty. The Republicans feel empowered & aren’t even trying to hide it. This is unacceptable!

It should not be lost on anyone that Minnesota Rep Melissa Hortman, who was shot to death in her home last night by an assassin, was a gun safety advocate who worked tirelessly to protect her constituents from gun violence.

“What Senator Alex Padilla did today was political theater.”
--Kristi Noem, the Head of Costuming, Hair, and Makeup at Political Theater
Senator Padilla was driven violently to his knees–as if made to kneel before the authority of the executive–because the administration called his questions “disrespectful”.
This should offend not just the other 99 Senators. It should offend the conscience of this country.
Sen. Schiff: "Alex Padilla, on the ground, face to the ground, and in handcuffs — if you were looking for an image of our democracy in handcuffs, look no further."
A group of us have arrived on the Senate floor to challenge our colleagues - on both sides of the aside - to rise to this moment and jointly condemn what has happened to Sen. Padilla. Yes we still need to collect the full facts, but this appears to be a defining moment for the country.
Senator Padilla was violently assaulted for doing his job.
If this is how federal agents treat a sitting U.S. Senator peacefully asking questions, how far will they go?
