A graphic that reads: “In the first episode of Star Trek Deep Space Nine, we saw a black man gain a powerful command position, respect the hell out of a religion he didn’t understand, respect three different races he didn’t understand, accept his friend’s gender change, and tell his son he loves him.”

Seeing lots of posts about the amazing crew of Artemis II being super competent and doing hard things together as a team and gosh we need more stories like that. And I’m looking at the totality of 60 years of #StarTrek like, yes, we have it, stop cancelling it!

I loved this whole scene. Her yelling at them to grow.

Star Trek canon is what’s on screen (jury is still out on Star Trek Scouts). Everything else is beta.

Have fun! I have to finish another project, but once that's done I'll be cracking open the box and starting. I'll look forward to your posts!

They don’t operate in a vacuum. Captains be reading the regular Starfleet status reports.

I have to think that the 'new school, new friends, growing pains, and learning" are almost universal topics anyone could have gotten into. Put that thing Paramount+ for an exclusive period, then drop the first couple episodes on CBS and affiliates. Market to new people rather than existing Trek fans

The streaming service format is just the dumbest format. You have the cast and crew of SNW and SFA both saying their goodbyes a year before the rest of the episodes air. Talk about DOA. How can you grow a fanbase when you post your goodbyes when there's still work to do?

Yep. It's possible to honor canon without being chained to it. SFA "Series Acclimation Mil" is a great example of a Trek story telling something new and forward-thinking while also honoring and referencing the franchise's history.

Starfleet Academy is great--new cast, a fresh look at the universe, tons of story potential to spin out of the 32nd century heading into the 33rd. Move forward rather than sit in the past.

Boggles my mind that #StarTrek, after 60 years, doesn't have multiple ongoing series, miniseries, theatricals, etc. It's had a cinematic/television universe for decades. Give us more new characters to care about rather than regurgitating Kirk, Spock, etc. Grow the universe.

I’ll bring snacks and some Trek games. Maybe a few marshmelons.

Just rewatched #StarTrekStarfleetAcademy “Ko’Zeine” last night. If only more people in this world spoke more hard truths like these characters. Great stuff.
