Hungary and Hungarians have me feeling very inspired right now, much as Korea and Koreans did last year. Maybe one day soon it will be America and Americans.

This is why you can't kill a civilisation by bombing it.

Maybe the thought/hope is that if he gets 25A'd, that would be such a signal from his own appointees that he would be so politically exposed that such a vote would work. Now, *I* don't think this would happen, but other junctures in the past (Jan 6) presented similar opportunities.

“A whole civilization will die tonight” is the most vile thing a US president has ever said, certainly during the post-1945 era when they’ve had the power to kill civilizations with the dropping of a bomb. I’m staring into the darkness. May this not be one of the most fateful days in human history.

He needs to be gone. Impeached. Convicted and jailed. Removed before he drops a nuke. This is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen a president say

I think often of a New York Times photo of a little Iraqi girl tending to her parakeets in a bombed house, probably from 20 years ago now. I will think of this man and his sweet dog often now too. People just want to love what they love, care for their little beings, and instead we do this to them

These types of things are always so striking to me: whatever belief, or hope, they had that led them to human burials, they seemingly extended that same hope to their dogs. Oh how they must have loved them!
