🦑🌎This is pretty insane. The federal offices in charge of offshore oil safety (BSSE) and offshore oil permitting (BOEM) have potentially conflicting interests. That’s why their tasks were separated after the BP Oil Spill, one of the largest environment disasters in our history!

A Super El Niño is coming, which means a big risk of heatwaves, the biggest killer of all disasters in the US. I'm trying to get FEMA to take this more seriously. See below.
