An editor once told me no book is for everyone but every book is for someone. I think about that often.
Someone told me that they are reading my book as a book club and talking through the exercises together this summer. So, you mean to tell me that what I dreamed of happening is actually happening?!
“Suck it up” is a survival move. Sometimes necessary. But thriving asks a different question: What’s another way forward? Even a small experiment can open a new door.
You weren’t meant to be good at everything. Your strengths are your unique lane. You’re allowed to stay in yours and let others shine in theirs.
Both saying yes to new things AND saying no to what doesn’t fit are acts of alignment. Both require courage. And both get easier when you’re listening to what you truly want.
