GAME 1!! LETS FUCKING GO BOYS!!!

Big letdown coming after Revelations. Bigger action set pieces are great but the story is a mess and feels more like they threw in toys we didn’t get first time around. Obviously first part of a 2 part story we won’t get.

Yeah this ripped.
Just takes my childhood cartoon & toys then ups it to 11 with action and mature storylines. Cheesy in the best way with a stacked and stellar voice cast.

Elementary gets lost in the myriad of Holmes adaptations but its overall great.

Rewatch. Truly just great from start to finish. Incredible special effects and production design. Great script and performances across the board. Phenomenal action set pieces. We should’ve gotten more of these. Has no right to be this great.

There’s great tv and then there is The Pitt.

Cathartic, funny, emotionally draining. God damn what a finale, what a fucking season of tv. The Pitt is a masterclass.

Jackson used his LotR clout to get $200 mil for an overly long, super ambitious nostalgic throwback. Watts and stunning mocap by Serkis along with incredible production design & Howard’s score lift this past miscasts (Jack Black) pacing and bad green screen.

Oh this is way worse that that. I dig Gotham after a bit. This was a slog

Highs. Animation. Voice acting. And a god tier score. That’s it. Big big disappointment for me. Story is weak,
Combat is repetitive and platforming is a chore due to finicky controls. I feel zero compulsion to go back for collectibles either.

Again, overly long and padded. But the scale and final third act is impressive and action packed despite feeling little hollow with the excess of CG. However the score, performances and climax still really hit the emotions it needs too. Weakest of the 5 Jackson films.

First time listen. And man what a fucking banger. @SamWitwer crushes every voice. The production is fantastic. But the story is action packed and somber. Up there for my favorite EU books now.

I’m actually watching the extended for the Hobbits for the first time. They do flow better.

Again overly long and some of the cg really starts showing its flaws but the character moments are superb and the entire third act inside Erebor and against Smaug it’s fucking stunning in scope and action. My favorite of the Hobbit trilogy.

My personal favorite Trek film. Perfectly paced. Great set pieces.
Stewart is in beast mode. The Borg are a great nemesis. Goldsmiths score is perfection.

Middle Earth Rewatch begins.

Overly long with far too many characters but when Jackson hits and that Howard Shore score swells it’s magic. Freeman is pitch perfect as Bilbo. The sheer spectacle is incredible.

Pure bliss and nostalgia non stop. Tyler’s score is god tier. Great additions to the cast. Powell steals the movie as my boy Fox. Only its relentless pacing keeps it from topping the first. But I absolutely loved it. Happy tears throughout.

Seriously Philip Ng is channeling Majima from Yakuza/Like A Dragon and I’m all for it

Well holy shit this was epic. Raymond Lam leads with Tanagaki designed action and good fucking lord it’s impressive. Backed by Louis Koo, Sammo and an absolutely
Unhinged Phillip Ng villain role. A throwback for sure and mesmerizing from start to finish.
