Comic. [Person talking to person with black hat.] PERSON 1: Historically, it refers to a ceremony to predict the weather using a rodent. But nowadays people often use it to mean “a time loop experienced by one person.” PERSON 2: …What. [caption] Easily our weirdest holiday.

Prompt for Gemini: Generate a visual pun. Make it engaging, interesting, and extremely funny. Make sure it relates to generative AI. The pun should rely on visuals as its primary way of communicating the idea (e.g. a fork placed in the middle of the road to represent the idea of a fork in the road)

Reduce CAPTCHAs for AI agents browsing the web with Web Bot Auth (Preview) in Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Browser | Amazon Web Services AI agents need to browse the web on your behalf. When your agent visits a website to gather information, complete a form, or verify data, it encounters the same defenses designed to stop unwanted bots...

Meanwhile, at Amazon: "Customers tell us that CAPTCHA friction is one of the biggest obstacles to reliable browser-based agentic workflows."

"Web Bot Auth ... gives agents verifiable cryptographic identities."

I have mixed feelings about this. While the process of building slide decks can be tedious and time-consuming, I've found that it (a) forces me to organize my thoughts into a more coherent narrative and (b) helps me internalize the material, enabling me to be more confident when presenting.

Google Workspace Updates: Generate presentations in the Gemini app

You can now generate Google Slides presentations in Gemini. After some limited testing this morning, it seems to be pretty good at creating workable first drafts.

I prompted Claude 3.7 Sonnet, ChatGPT o4-mini, & Gemini 2.5 Pro to generate new learning tasks for high school students in the age of gen AI; all 3 suggested speed dating.

Not a hot mess (not really a lukewarm mess either), but it certainly feels messy 😉 @kevinroose.com @caseynewton.bsky.social

In August 2023 there were 21 certified kosher vegan restaurants in Manhattan (34 if you count each branch separately).

Today, there are 37 (50 if you count each branch separately).

Column | I let ChatGPT’s new ‘agent’ manage my life. It spent $31 on a dozen eggs. Operator, the new AI that can reach into the real world, wants to act like your personal intern. Here’s what it’s good at, bad at — and when it went rogue.

This perfectly encapsulates the stupidity of where we are now. www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2...

Gist.ai | AI-powered search engine Gist.ai is an AI-powered search engine that delivers concise, accurate answers to your questions using trusted, well-established sources.

Has anyone gotten access to @prorata.ai's gist.ai yet? I just signed up for the waitlist, and I'm very curious to see how it holds up compared to other GenAI search engines.
