Here’s the 5th Circuit’s opinion openly and directly defying an on-point Supreme Court precedent that prohibits the display of the 10 Commandments in public school classrooms.
Shameless defiance of SCOTUS, but we’ll see if the supermajority cares. txvalues.org/wp-content/u...

The Justice Dept’s theory of the case— that the group that single-handedly disassembled the Ku Klux Klan defrauded its donors by concealing that it was using paid informant to do that work and more— has about as much merit as the now-dismissed charges against Jim Comey.

RIGHT TO READ DAY. April 20, 2026. Everywhere. FOR YOUR FREEDOM TO READ. FOR ACCESS TO INFORMATION. FOR UNDERSTANDING OUR PAST. FOR OUR COMMUNITIES. FOR OUR LIBRARIES. Logos for Unite Against Book Bans and ALA150 American Library Association
From Jan. 2025 - March 2026, 100+ pro-censorship bills were introduced in state legislatures. At least 40 bills would penalize libraries and library workers with lawsuits, fines, or even jail time for protecting people’s the right to read.

“In 2025, book bans were not sparked by concerned parents, and they were not the result of local grassroots efforts. They were part of a well-funded, politically-driven campaign.” - Sarah Lamdan, Executive Director of ALA’s Office for Intellectual Freedom.

You already know the answer. "School choice" is a way of shifting tax-payer money away from public schools, away from working-class communities, & away from people of color.
Overwhelmingly, it benefits affluent white people. That's why Republicans push it so hard.

Weird how they never do this in areas where Trump won!
DOJ Office of Civil Rights seem very focused on districts with a lot of Black voters.
Someday, with luck and hard work, she will have a name too.
Recommending!
See you in May!
