Has been totally overwhelmed in a mainstream setting, partly because school failed to provide basic sensory support & regulation. The idea of school being given free choice over what to implement, awful idea. Many don't follow & implement EHCPs anyway & there is zero redress for parents. Agree SEND

#TeamSEND Any ideas how to encourage a highly intelligent autistic 10 yr old child that continually picking scabs is not good for you? Daughter is getting more & more sores all over her arms & legs as will pick the smallest blemish. They are all slowly getting bigger as well.
It's bloody awful. In the next breath after taking the transport away they'll moan about people not working. Taking away their transport to college certainly won't be helping will it.

Would be nice if this pristine new space avoided calling people “morons”, “idiots”, “imbeciles” and the rest. Bad politics. Grim history.
Did they say these measures will almost certainly be unlawful? I cannot for the life of me understand how they think they'll get away with treating very vulnerable children in this way. History I'm sure will be very scathing of the people making these decisions.
We are frugal with the heating. We do get masses of condensation though and the mould that comes with it. Not keen on using the trickle vents (wind, noise, cold air etc) but have opened them all today. Gotta do something. I know the ideal is to not let room temps get down to 14 but it's expensive.
