Last year, Maryland Transit Administration held an art contest in commemoration of Earth Day. Finalists, between the ages of 8 and 15, created art which was displayed on various buses traveling throughout Maryland. The winners of this year’s Earth Day art contest will be announced next week!

Did you know? The Laurel Railroad Station was constructed in 1884. It's been adapted today as the Laurel MARC station. The architect also designed the rear wing of the State House in Annapolis, according to an historical marker erected in 1982 by the Laurel Historical Society.
